Still at the top for a third week is Disney's Zootopia which is on track to becoming the next toon to take over $1 billion and the top animated movie! The films total now sits at an excellent $591 million with no sign of letup yet, and with the spring holiday looming and no real competition who know where that could go?

A fairly quiet week on the film front with nothing wanting to open so close to the expected massive opening of Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice.

The highest new film of the week on a global platform is Kapoor and Sons, and Indian movie opened in 12 countries and takes $.6.8 million and opens at number 10.

Disney's latest hit film Zootopia continues to dominate the world box office this week as it increases its lead on the world box office.

A weekly gross of $133 million is boosted by a massive Chinese release and a continuing strong American presence, the film is released in 46 countries so far and has a total gross of $431.3.

Highest new film of the week is 10 Cloverfield Lane from producer JJ Abrams which enters at number 4 from 7 countries.

The surprise announcement of the film only a couple of weeks ago have made a short but effective marketing campaign, although having The Force Awakens director involved cant have helped.

A $26 million opening is low but for the low budget film it is a good sign and we could see the film get much bigger numbers as it opens in more countries.

Highest total grossing movie across the world this week is Deadpool at number 7, still open in 82 countries, the highest of any film this week, the total gross now sits at $708 million.

Here is the full world grossing top 10 this week:

This brings its total world box office gross to $232.5 million after a couple of weeks on release, and is on track to be another massive hit for Disney, positive reviews will have helped.

Deadpool this week falls from the top where it has been since release down to number 3 with $37.6 million this week from 74 countries, its total is now $673.1 million.

Deadpool is also the highest total grossing grossing film on the world box office.

Taking $31.5 million on its third weekend of release the Marvel superhero film has now taken $285 million in the US.

Coming in at number 2, but with 50% less takings than Deadpool, is Gods of Egypt which takes $14.4 million on its debut weekend.

Highest total grossing movie this week is, possibly for the last time, Star Wars: The Force Awakens which has taken a massive $926 million.

The Force Awakens is of course the highest grossing movie ever in the US, it will miss $1 billion but maybe one of the sequels can make that.

Yet again the Marvel superhero Deadpool is the top film across the world, this week with a weekly gross of $71.1 million dollars from 75 countries.

Now in its third week of release this film has taken a very impressive $609.7 million, Deadpool is also the highest total grossing film on the top 10.
