$107.6 MillionThe Men In Black are back and hit the top of the global box office on their debut weekend of release leaving X-Men: Dark Phoenix to drop from the top after only a week.
The series started way back in 1997 and over 20 years later we get the fourth film with new stars and an international setting.
Unfortunately the Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth starring movie has not done nearly as well as the previous film and globally grosses $102.2 million from 57 countries on its debut.
Its been a bit of a slow burner but the Will Smith starring Disney live action film is still at 2 with a global take of $64.2 million from 56 countries.
This pushes the films total gross to a very acceptable $724.8 million after 4 weeks of release.
After making its debut at the top last week the X-Men film falls to number 3 this week with $33.2 million from 56 countries.
The film has now taken a global gross of $204.2 million afer 2 weeks.
The animated movie takes $32.2 million from 37 countries this weekend for a total gross of $154.5 million after 4 weeks of release.
The Godzilla sequel takes $22 million from a whopping 80 countries this weekend and is at 5 on the global box office, the films total gross is $339.4 after 3 weeks of release.
The Samual L. Jackson film is the second highest new film this week at number 9 with a global gross of $8.3 million from a single country of release.
The Marvel movie is struggling to beat Avatar and this week sits at number 12 on the box office with a total gross of $2.742 million.
It has been announced that the film will be pushed at the cinemas again next week with an extra bonus added to the film, it might just be enough to push it past Avatar.
After a break of 7 years the Men in Black are back and top the box office on their debut weekend dropping The Life Of Pets 2 down to number 2 on its second weekend of release.
The Men in Black return with new faces but similar aliens to a first weekend gross of $28.5 million after fairly unfavourable reviews but fairly good word of mouth.
The film stars Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth back together again after Thor and Avengers: Endgame.
Director F. Gary Gray takes over from original director Barry Sonnenfield and does a good job of brining a new spin to the over 20 year old ideas of the original movie.
This is the lowest debut of the series to date which doesn't bode well for the future box office success of the film.
After making its debut at the top of the US box office last weekend the film falls to number 2 this week with a $23.8 million gross.
This pushes the films total US gross to $92 million after 2 weeks of release.
Still in the top 5 after 4 weeks of release is the Disney live action movie which takes 16.7 million this weekend and sits at number 3.
The films total gross is now at $263.4 million.
After making its debut at number 2 last weekend the latest X-Men movie falls to number 4 this weekend with just $9 million pushing the films total 2 week gross to $51.7 million.
Still in the top 5, at 5, after 3 weeks of release is the Elton John film which takes $8.8 million for a $66.1 million total US gross.
Second highest new film of the week is Samuel L Jacksons movie which enters the box office at 6 with a $8.3 million gross.
8 weeks on and the Marvel movie is still on the US box office, this weeks its at number 11 and its total gross is $830.5 million.
This week saw the true event film Everest climb to the summit of the box office charts on its debut week of release.
A £3.1 million opening gross, including previews, saw the film get to the top of the box office, although previews saw a large proportion of this.
Last weeks top film, Legend, had a small fall this week into the number 2 spot with £2.4 million over the weekend and nearly £10 million in total after 10 days of release.
Also making a first appearance on the chart this week is A Walk in the Woods at number 7 and Bill at number 8.
Highest total grossing film on the chart this week is Inside Out which has now grossed an incredible £37.6 million.

Twenty years ago - Braveheart was too strong to be knocked off the top on its second week on the chart meaning highest new film was at number 2 for The Bridges of Madison County.
