The Pokémon movie falls to number 3 on its second week of release with a weekend gross of $24.8 million, this boosts its total US gross to $94 million with the next milestone in sight.
This sequel movie doesn't do as well as its predecessor A Dogs Purpose but it still manages a top 4 entry with a debut of $8 million.
Falling to number 5 is the con artist movie starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson which takes $6 million on its second weekend of release.
The film now has a total US gross of $23 million.

With the release of a new Marvel movie there is always excitement, but this one is a bit different with pre-hype predicting the film would be big and sure enough Avengers: Endgame opens to the largest weeekend gross in the US ever.
Films open big but none this big and the final instalment of this phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe opens to the tune of $350 million.
This easily beats the previous biggest opening, Avengers: Infinity War, by 36% proving that built up hype can work, and with the critics generally liking it film it must have helped its box office.
Analysts will now be looking to see if the film can beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens total gross of $936.6 million and if it can become the first movie to gross more than a Billion dollars in the US.
Getting a good boost from its Marvel stablemate this film goes back to number 2 this week with a gross of $8 million on its 8th weekend.
This pushes the films total US gross to $413.5 million and eyeing its next milestone of half a billion dollars.

With superhero movies all the rage the DC's Captain Marvel is a 5 this week with $5.5 million pushing the films total to $131.1 million after 4 weeks of release.
As expected the anticipation for Avengers: Endgame spilled over this weekend and the Marvel film broke records all over the place on its debut weekend leaving every other film on release to mop up the tiny remainder of box office cash.
The Marvel film was expected to open big but perhaps no-one expected it to open quite this big as the much hyped and anticipated film broke the box office opening weekend record, set by Avengers: Infinity War, and became the first film to ever open with over a billion dollars on global takings.
The film took an unprecedented, and benchmark setting, $1.2 Billion from 55 countries over its first weekend, which including previews did extend to 5 days, but still to enter the Billion dollar club so quick is a new record.
The film is already the 13th highest grossing film of all time globally, and by next weekend will most likely be in the top 5 which will take a gross of $1.67 Billion or higher.
All eyes will be on the film in the coming weeks to see if can beat the 10 year old record of Avatar and beat that films $2.7 Billion total gross.
Last weeks top film falls to number 2 this week with a global weekend gross of $15.4 Million from 72 countries which pushes its total global gross to $86.9 Million.

The other Marvel film on the global box office this weekend is at 4 this week with $10.1 Million from 46 countries and pushes its total global gross to $1.1 Billion after 9 weeks.
Just for the record Avengers: Endgame beats this total in its first 5 days of release.
Still on the box office and doing well is the Tim Burton movie which this week is at 5 taking $9.6 Million from 52 countries for a $327.6 Million total from 5 weeks of release.
Second highest new film of the week is at number 11 in the shape of this Chinese animation with takes $1.7 Million from just 1 country.
Aquaman gets a release in China this week an manages to top the global box office with its debut from that single terretory leaving a fairly predictable rest of the chart.
China gets the next superhero movie before the rest of the world and from this single terretory beats all other film with ease.
A China (and global) debut of $91 million gives the film a global gross of $93.6 million including previews, the film releases in many more territories this coming weekend.
The Dr. Suess adaptation goes back to number 2 as we get closer to Christmas as the animation takes $41 million from 63 countries for a total gross of $322 million.
Still bringing in the audience at 3 is the Bryan Singer directed movie takes $35.2 million from 73 countries to push its total gross to an incredible $596.5 million.
The film is now Bryan Singers top grossing film in the UK and second top grossing film globally beating out nearly all the X-Men movies.
Still doing well but loosing steam the Disney film drops to number 4 this week with a global gross of $34 million from 31 countries, total global gross is now $258 million.
The JK Rowling penned film drops to number 5 this week with $28 million from a massive 81 countries to boost its total gross to a respectable $568.5 million.
With very good reviews from critics, good pre launch buzz and part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe there was never any doubt that Thor: Ragnarok was going to have a huge debut at the US box office.
That debut came in to the tune of $121 million which means the film starring Chris Hemsworth is the 7th biggest opening for an MCU film.
To round out the number its also the 17th number one film from the Disney series and the 8th which has delivered a $100 million plus opening, it beats Spiderman Homecoming from earlier this year.
With Thor out of the way last weeks halloween hit Jigsaw, as expected, falls hard this week and ends up at number 3 with $6.7 million, its total US gross now sits just below $30 million.
Also new on the US box office this week is A Bad Moms Christmas, maybe a little early for to be thinking of the Christmas season but the film makes a very impressive debut at 2 with $17 million.
Longest running film on the US top 10 is Blade Runner 2040 which clocks up 5 weeks and with its impressive $122 million debut Thor Ragnarok is the highest grossing movie on the chart, it has been a very slow second half to the year, until now!
