Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice may have had a disappointing cinema run but when the film came out on home video it was going to hit the top.

The film was released as one of the early spring releases on 25th March 2016 where is scored a £14.6 million opening weekend and of course hit the top on its debut.

The incredible hype for the film maybe made the end product a little disappointing as the film only had a chart run of 6 weeks, sinking fast once it left the top.

The film took a UK gross of £36 million, relatively low for a superhero film, and is the 61st highest grossing movie in the UK.

Globally the film took $872.6 million, missing out on the billon mark by quite some margin, and is the 46th highest grossing film across the world.

Disney's Zootopia falls from the top where it debuted to number 2 this week.

Also new this week at number 4 is My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, released the same weekend as Batman V Superman.

Hardcore Henry also makes its video chart debut at number 10.

This week on the world box office the live action version of The Jungle Book retains its place at the top amid little competition, the film is out in 54 countries.

The Disney movie has taken $153 million this week across the globe which brings its world gross to and incredible $528.4 million.

In anticipation of a major new release this week there were no new releases on the world box office this week.

Highest total grossing move on release across the globe this week is Zootopia which has now passed the $900 million mark with $907.1 million, a billion is not far away now.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is still the top grossing film across the world after 3 weeks of release.

The superhero film takes another $57.4 million dollars from 68 countries, by far the widest release of all the film this week.

Although the film has not performed in the was that was expected the film has taken $783.4 million in total.

Highest new film of the week is The Jungle Book which makes its debut at number 3 this week making $28.9 million.

The film is only out in a few territories and so should do even better next week after releases in Europe and America.

Highest total grossing film this week is Zootopia which has now notched up $852,5 million.

At the world box office this week Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice retained its lead for a second weekend with a weekly gross of $137.4.

The film has a massively wide release of 68 countries, althoug not the highest on the chart, that goes to The Divergent Series Allegiant which is released in 80 countries.

Batman V Superman has now taken $682.8 million after its 2 weeks of release, the film may struggle to get to $1 billion as this is quite a hefty drop from last week.

Highest new film on the world box office is The Bodyguard, not the 1992 film with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner but a Hong Kong Chinese film directed by Sammo Hung.

The film makes its debut at number number 3 with $25 million from the 6 countries its released in.

highest total grossing film on the box office this week is Zootopia, at number 2 this week with an incredible $787.6 million.

There was no other film that would be beaten this weekend in the US as the superhero titan that is Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice makes a successful debut at the top.

Beating the all time record debut for March or for Q1 of any year, BvS debuts with an incredible $170.1 million over the Easter weekend.

Still doing good number Disney's Zootopia falls from the top into second place this weekend, a weekend gross of $23 million brings the animal cartoon to $241 million in the US.

Also making its debut this weekend is My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 which enters at number 3, the followup the the biggest sleeper hit of all time has done better than expected with a debut of $17.8 million.

Highest total grossing movie on the US box office is Deadpool at number 7 which has now grossed nearly $350 million.
