At the global box office this week Bridget Jones's Baby out grossed everything else in its path to become the top grossing global film of the week. Falling from the top is Sully which enjoyed a healthy second week of release , still in 45 countries it took $29 million over the week and is not just below $100 million globally.

Worth of mention is The Age of Shadows which was the highest debuting film last week, still only out in South Korea and climbs to number 3 this week globally with $21.5 million.

Also doing well and at number 4 is A Chinese Odyssey Part Three: The End, released in 2 countries it is new at 4 with $17.3 million.

Video game adaptation Warcraft once again wins the global box office with out much of an issue, mainly from China when the film has become the biggest opening movie of all time.

The Duncan Jones film is released in 53 countries and this weekend takes $210.1 million of which $185.8 of that was outside North America.

The total gross of the film now sits at a not too bad $286 million, it will pass 300 this week but might struggle after that.

Released in 45 countries the film takes $90.3 million led by its number 1 debut in North America.

Highest total grossing film across the globe this week is Captain America: Civil war at number 11 which has to date grossed $1.15 billion.

Following the path laid down by its US box office release, Straight Outta Compton this week climbs to the top of the UK box office on its debut.

A low week overall for the box office grosses and Compton's weekend take is £2.4 million, it is higher than last weeks top film.

Last weeks top film was Paper Town which this week takes a big shove down the box office and ends up at number 8 this week.

A £452,953 second weekend gross brings the film to £3.4 in total with the prospect of a very short 3 week run.

Worth noting is the run of Inside Out which once again is at 2 and again topps the chart if we count Monday - Sunday figures.<> Also new this week is Hitman Agent 47 at number 3 and 45 Years new at number 10, Zak Efrons We Are Your Friends is considered a flop with a number 13 entry.
