Achieving something which hasn't been done in a fair while this week The Divergent Series Insurgent holds onto the top spot for a third week in a row.

The last film to achieve this was Disney Frozen well over a year ago, that film went on the spend most of 2014 inside the top 3 and made many trips to the top.

Highest new film of the week if The Duff which enters the Uk video chart at number 2.

The Duff was released at UK cinemas on 10th April of this year where it made its debut at number 4 of that week, although it was the highest new film.

A 4 week run saw it gross a total of £1.9 million at the UK box office.

There is only one other new film this week in the shape of Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 which enters at number 4.

Fast and Furious 7 spends it's third and most likely last week at the top of the US box office this week, the same week if saw it;s global box office go over $1 billion.

The film has been a massive global hit as well as US his and has now taken $294 million after a quite remarkable $29 million third weekend.

Highest new film of the week is Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 which is actually not that far behind Furious 7 with its $24 million weekend, the film struggles in the UK last week.

Other new film to hit the US box office this week are: Unfriended at number 3, Disneys earth day release Monkey Kingdom at number 7 and True Story at number 11.

It's proving to be the runaway hit of moment as Fast and Furious 7 speeds ahead of the rest of the field as it produces another £5.4 million over the weekend.

This gives Furious 7 a total UK gross after 2 weekends of £26.2 million, the film is fast catching the years highest grossing movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, which has taken £34.6 million.

With little in the way of new releases next week Furious 7 could well stay at the top until the release of Avengers Age Of Ultron at the end of April.

Highest new film of the week is American teen comedy/drama The DUFF, new at 4 with £891,691, not a great start!

The other new films this week maybe underperformed and all entered at the lower end of the chart, John Wick at 6, Woman In Gold at 7 and Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 at 8.
