China ruled the global box office this week as the mega hit Wolf Warrior II had one of the biggest openings in China this year, second only to Fat and Furious 8.

With $125.9 million from only 5 countries, Wolf Warrior II directed by and starring Wu Jing, has a country average of an incredible $25.1 million.

The films total global gross so far is $142 million after a soft launch last week.

Dunkirk falls to second place this week with $73.7 million from 64 countries for a country average of $1.1 million.

This brings the films global total to a respectable $234.1, it should break the $300 million by next weekend.

Highest new film of the week is The Emoji Movie which lands at number 6 with $25.6 million from just the one country, America, which on a country average would put it ahead of the number 1 film by half a million dollars.

Despicable me 3 is the highest total grossing global hit on the top 10 with $819.2 million so far and is at number 3 this week.

As we come to the end of 2015 it has been revealed by Excipio, a company who tracks data like this, which film got pirated the most.

The film is 2014's Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Matthew McConaughey about space travel to another galaxy.

In the UK the film was the 13 highest grossing film of 2014 and the 10th highest grossing movie across the world in the same year.

The film was downloaded an estimated 47 million times, shockingly this is 17 million higher than last years top illegally downloaded film Wolf of Wall Street.

At the world box office this week Fast and Furious 7 is still street ahead of the crowd as it's gross for it's second weekend of release hits $255.5 million.

This now gives the film an $800 million world gross and it is certain to hit the $1 billion mark in the coming weeks.

Highest new film is The Longest Ride at number 5, a total weekend gross of $16.5 million from 29 territories, the film is yet to open in much of Europe.

2nd this week is Home with $34 million and 3rd is Cinderella with just shy of $20 million.

Wolf Warrior this week takes $18 million, still doing strong numbers at 4 despite only being released in China.

Opening to a massive global gross of $384 million from the 64 countries it was released in, Furious 7 (or Fast and Furious 7 as it's called in some countries) made it's mark and out grossed the rest of the top 10 combined.

Home fell to second with $48 million while the live action version of Cinderella is still doing well grossing £34 million across the globe.

The Divergent Series Insurgent is at 4 with $25 million, and finishing off the top five is Wolf Warrior from director Jacky Wu which grossed $22 million from just a single territory.

At the box office across the world this week Fifty Shades of Grey continues to reign as the highest grossing film.

It's third week of release has seen it gross $36 million, which brings it's global gross to $417 million.

With little in the way of new releases this week, Will Smith managed to get the top new film across the globe with Focus grossing $12.2 million.
