A new Pixar film is a big event and a new Toy Story film is an even bigger event, and the new sequel hits the top of the US box office with ease on its debut weekend.

Childs Play 2019

Toy Story 4

The animated feature takes in $118 Million over the weekend, including previews, and hits the number 1 spot easily and although it takes more money than its predecessor the film had less audience.

Still this is good for the sequel to the original Pixar film and it should go on to be one of the top grossing animation in the US ever.

Child's Play

The horror movie remake was never going to compete with Toy Story 4 and comes in at number 2 this week with a debut gross od $14 Million.

Aladdin

The Disney live action movie is still holding on to a position on the top 5 and this week takes $12.2 Million.

This puts the films total US gross at $287.5 Million after 5 weeks of release.

Avengers: Endgame

Men In Black: International

The new Men In Black movie falls to number 4 this week from the top with a second weekend gross of $10.7 Million pushing its total to $52.6 Million.

This is not good news for the franchise and it will end up the lowest grossing film in the series.

The Secret Life Of Pets 2

At number 5 this week is the animated secret pets film which takes $10.3 Million on its 3rd weekend for a $117.5 Million gross.

Avengers: Endgame

After 9 weeks of release the Marvel movie has a total gross of $834.5 Million and is at number 13 this week.

Disney release the second trailer for their highly anticipated sequel movie Frozen II today, and it looks like Anna and Else are in bigger danger than ever.

Good job they have Kristoff and Olaf in tow to help them out, yes Disney have all your favourite characters from the original Frozen, and a few new ones, for the sequel.

With a statement that the past in not what it seems and an adventure that includes the ocean and the land (and trolls!) it looks like were in for the adventure of a life time.

To be honest if it has good songs, fantastic animation and a new rendition of Let It Go we'll be happy.

31st May 2019

The first trailer for new Pixar movie Onward gets its first trailer and the fantasy movie looks fantastic in a true Pixar way.

Little is known about the film but the first trailer introduces us to the fantasy world which could be Earth and we get to meet a few of the new characters.

The animation is set for release March of 2020 so we have a while to go yet but we hope there will be more details of the new movie soon.

Check out the trailer below.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (Star Wars Land) opens at the Los Angeles based Disneyland on Friday May 31st 2019, and from early word it is nothing short of amazing.

Star Wars: Galaxys Edge Land

The land which is part of the main park at Disneyland has been 3 years in the making and is one of the most anticipated projects in the Star Wars fan base since Disney bought Lucasfilms.

The land had its dedication ceremony on Wednesday 29th May in front of the Millennium Falcon replica (which is full size) hosted by Disney CEO Bob Igor and attended by Star Wars creator George Lucas, Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill, Lando Calrissian actor Billy Dee Williams and Han Solo Harrison Ford, Chewbeccca made an appearance in the cockpit of the Falcon, after he failed to start the ship Ford hit it to get it to start.

Check out the video below, and fast forward to 1 hour 15 minutes to get to the actual ceremony.

There are plenty of YouTubers putting up videos with two of our favourites FreshBaked and Tim Tracker top of the list.

Hopefully it wont be long before we get to go ourselves, but if you get a chance to emerge yourself in the best thing to happen to Star Wars since The Force Awakens then let us know.

For those of you that can't get to Disneyland in California an exact replica is being built in Orlando Florida as part of Disney's Hollywood Studio wihch opens later in the year on August 29 2019, and there is word that Disneyland Paris and the Disney World in Tokyo are set to get version in the years to come.

Star Wars: Galaxys Edge Land

And check out the Disney Blogs site (linked in the tweet below) for some good information on the new land, and a look at the new Disneyland maps that are available in the parks.

On this weeks UK box office Disney brings its live action remake of Aladdin to the box office, directed by our very own Guy Ritchie, which scores a big number 1 debut, in a weekend with an all new top 3, this leaves Rocketman and The Secret Life Of Pets 2 to enter at 2 and 3.

Rocketman

Aladdin

The latest in the increasing line of live action remakes enters the UK box office, with ease, at the top.

The film starring Will Smith and Mena Massoud as the Genie and Aladdin takes over at the top with a £7 million debut.

This is by no means as good as 2017's Beauty And The Beast which has an opening weekend of £19 million but it is higher than this years Dumbo.

Rocketman

The Elton John fantasy bio-pic manages to take a fantastic £5.4 million on its debut weekend, but unfortunately released the same day as a Disney movie it only manages a number 2 debut.

The film Directed Dexter Fletcher and Starring Taron Egerton and Jamie Bell has wowed critics and if it repeats a similar course as Bohemian Rhapsody it will hand around a while and could still hit the top of the box office.

The Freddy Mercury film debuted to nearly £10 million and went on to take £55 million in the UK, I dont think this will repeat those figures.

The Secret Life Of Pets 2

Third new film in the top three and again under normal weekend conditions this would have been the top film but a £3.5 million debut this week means it hits number 3.

Compared to the first movie in the series this is actually way lover with that film taking nearly £10 million on its debut, but with the school holidays just around the corner this could have a long life.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum

The Keanu Reeves action movie falls from the top to number 4 on its second weekend of release with £1.4 million boosting its total to £6.2 million.

Pokémon Detective Pikachu

Three weeks on and the Pikachu movie is at 5 with £1 million over the weekend, this gives the film a new total of £10 million.

Avengers: Endgame

Falling out of the top 5 fir the first time this week the Marvel movie has now taken £85.5 million in the UK over 5 weeks.

It is the 5th top movie of all time in the UK where it will probably remain, behind Avatar, Spectre, Skyfall and Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

Making an entry back into the top 15 after a time away the brick movie takes £43,254 on its 9th weekend which boosts its total to £18.6 million.
