The movie is the second top grossing movie of 2022 and should move into first place by next weekend replacing The Batman.

After the excellent word of mouth and reviews of the Michelle Yeoh starring movie it jumps up the box office with a weekend gross of £839,974 taking its total UK gross of £1.9 Million after 2 weeks.

The movie has now taken £12 Million in the UK after 4 weeks and although it running behind that of Downton Abbey from 2019 this is still not a bad post COVID total and should seal the movie a third outing.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

The little blue hedgehog this week spends its 8th weekend on the box office with a weekend take of £423,552, a small 19% drop over last weekend, especially good considering the age of the movie.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Getting a release in 22 countries the third in the Fantastic Beasts series of movies makes its debut at number 2 this weekend getting a release in 22 countries.

The movie takes a reasonable $58 Million on its debut, but with a release in countries like North America next weekend expect this to more than double and the movie to take over at the top.

Morbius

Falling hard to number 3 this weekend is the Marvel/Sony vampire movie starring Jared Leto which takes $25.2 Million over the weekend, a hard 70% drop over last weekend.

This puts the movie total global gross at $126 Million after 2 weeks of release, this must be seen as a big disappointment for Sony, especially after the mega success of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The Batman

Falling to number 4 on its 6th weekend of release the Caped Crusader takes $13 Million, a 46% drop over last weekend, the movie has taken a total of $735 Million.

The movie will fail to make $1 Billion, not too much of a surprise considering there is still a pandemic gripping the world and the Cinese release was far less than expected, but the movie is the top film of 2022 across the globe, so far!

Ambulance

Jackass Forever

12 years after the last cinematic outing for the Jackass crew director Jeff Tremaine and long time star Johnny Knoxville return in another round of stupid pranks and 'hilarious' extreme stunts to try and shock audiences.

The movie opens at the top of the US box office with $23.1 Million, half that of 2010's Jackass 3D but we are still in the middle of a pandemic.

The movie put an end run of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the movie has instantly become the 10th top movie of 2022.

Moonfall

Landing at number 2 this weekend is the mega budget event movie directed by Roland Emmerich who is no stranger to this kind of movie.

With a debut of $9.8 Million the studio will be a little disappointed, and with unfavourable reviews from critics and audiences this movie could have a short box office shelf life.

Spider Man: No Way Home

There is still no slowing down for the web slinger as the movie notches up an 8th weekend on the top 3 with $9.5 Million, a very low 14% drop over last weekend.

The movie actually was only just beaten by Moonfall into the runner up spot which shows the strength the movie still has and is getting repeated viewings from fans.

The movie is the top film of 2022 with $21.9 Million taken this year, and it is still the 4th top movie ever in the US with $735.8 Million as it closes in on Avatar.

Scream

Most likely having its last weekend on the top 5, the fifth film in the Scream series falls to number 4 with $4.7 Million, a 34% drop over last weekend.

This gives the movie a total gross of $68.9 Million over 4 weeks making it the 4th top movie of 2022.

A sequel to this movie, the 6th in the series, has just been green lit so the end has not happend yet for the team who seem to always put themselves in harms way!

Sing 2

Falling to number 5 this week is the animated sequel which takes $4.2 Million over the weekend, a very low 10% drop from last week, giving the movie a fantastic $139.6 Million over its 7 week release, and its the 2nd top movie of 2022.
