This weeks UK video chart has The Hunger hames Mockingjay Part 2 at the top on its first week of release.

Mockingjay Part 2 was released in the UK on 20th November 2015 where it entered the box office at the top with a weekend gross of £11.2 million.

The film has a good 9 week run on the box office with 4 of those week at the top before it took a steady drop down.

The film is the 102nd highest grossing movie in the UK with a total gross of £29 million and with a total world gross of $652.9 million it is the 87th highest grossing film ever.

It is the second lowest success of The Hunger Games movies after the first film.

Also new on the video charts this week are: The Good Dinosaur at number 2, Black Mass at number 5, Carol at number 6 and finally Steve Jobs at 9.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 retains its position at the top of the UK box office this week despite some strong competition entering the chart.

The last of The Hunger Games films adds £4.5 million on its second weekend of release which brings its total to £19.3 million after 10 days of release.

The film is almost mirroring the take of the second and third film in the series and will most likely end up grossing somewhere is the region of £30 million which is the same as part 1.

Highest new film of the week is The Good Dinosaur at number 2, the new film from Pixar takes a debut gross of £2.9 million, not quite but certainly one of the lowest gross from a Pixar film.

Also new this week are: Spielberg and Hanks double header Bridge of Spies is new at 4 while the new Johnny Depp film Black Mass is new at 5. New at 7 is Carol and Tamasha is new at number 8.

Highest total grossing film on the Uk box office this week is Spectre which after 5 weeks has grossed £88.3 million.

A year ago - Paddington was new at the top of the box office which knocked The HUnger Games Mockingjay Part 1 down to number 2.

Five years ago - Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 stayed at the top for another week while Unstoppable was the highest new film at number 2.

Ten years ago - Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire was still holsing onto the top spot while Jodie Foster was the star of Flightplan which debuted at 2.

Fifteen years ago - Charlies Angels spent its debut week at the top of the box office, it knocked off What Lies Beneath from the top spot.

Twenty years ago - The Bond film Goldeneye made its debut a the top of the box office knocking Pocahontas down to number 2.

Twenty five years ago - Home Alone stayed at the top while Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the original version) entered at number 2.

Released in China where it has made big numbers, a $32 million opening day and $100 million opening weekend, has seen enough to make it a global smash.

Last weeks top film across the world, Everest, falls to number 3 this week with $46.8 million with Hotel Transylvania 2 entering in second place with $76 million.

This week in the US the sequel movie Maze Runner Scorch Trials tops the box office on it's debut week of release with a $30.3 million weekend gross.

Last weeks top film The Perfect Guy tumbles town to 4 this week with a $9.6 million gross meaning it takes $41.3 million over its first 10 days of release.

Also new on the US box office is: Black Mass new at number 2 Everest new at number 5.

This week the top global box office number one is the sequel film Maze Runner The Scorch trials which tops the chart after stalling along the way at number 4 last week.

This week the Maze Runner sequel takes $73.6 million from 67 territories and has to date made over $100 million in total.

After hitting the top for the second time last week Mission:Impossible Rogue Nation falls to number 5 with $23.4 million from 58 countries, the global gross is $656 million.

The Minions continue to do well across the world and this week sit at number 4 with an incredible $118 billion total gross.
