$0 As we roll into the middle of October we get another sequel movie trying to revive an aging franchise, this time is a sequel to the 80's movie TRON as the third movie in the series TRON Ares makes its debut at the tp of the UK box office.
The Disney movie was expected to blast into cinemas on a wave of hype, but instead it sort of whimpers in with a £1.2 Million debut, less than the previous movie in the series.
The series which apart from the 3 live action movies has a number of animated shorts created to expand the series is struggling to make a mark in cinemas despite have a large fan base.
Last weeks top movie from Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl drops from the chart completely as it was only showing for a single weekend but it did take an amazing £4,679,450 that single week!

The time of Pirates of The Caribbean is over and the dawn of the DC universe is upon us as Wonder Woman, the first female led super hero movie, blasts onto the US box office.
A massive $100 million opening ensured that the film hit the top spot on its debut, and of course it grossed more than the rest of the US box office combined.
Unlike its spiritual predecessor, Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice, this movie was met with mostly favourable reviews by critics and audiences alike.
The $100 million plus opening gives Wonder Woman the third biggest of 2017 in America following Beauty and The Beast and Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2.
Falling hard from the top spot this week is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men tell No Tales (as its called in America) and the film fell nearly 70% from last week to end up at number 3.
With a weekend gross of only $21.6 million on its second weekend could this mean an end to the pirate saga? The film has taken $114.6 million in total.
Also new this week is Captain Underpants from Dreamworks, based on the kids books the film lands at number 2 with $23.5 million.
On probably its last weekend on the US box office Beauty and The Beast is the longest running film with 12 weeks and the highest total grossing with just over $500 million.
Although the anticipation for the new Disney film Moana is quite high its not enough to knock off the three time champion Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Fantastic Beast stays put at the top of the Uk box office for its third straight week with an amazing weekend gross of £4.4 million, this brings the films total gross to £37.8 million.
There should be one more weekend at the top for Beast before the Galaxy Far Far Away comes blasting in, but that should be enough to cement the film as one of the years top films.
The film still has a way to go before beating the lowest grossing Potter film which was 2004's Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban which made £45.6 million.
Highest new film of the week then come in at 2, Moana from Disney makes £2.2 million on its UK debut.
Compared to Frozen from Disney which came out at the same time of year in 2013 this is half its debut gross of £4.7 million hence we probably wont see this scaling those heights.
Also new this week is Sully at number 3 with £1.7 million, Pitbull. Niebezpieczne Kobiety at number 5 with £0.4 million, The Edge of Seventeen at 9 with £0.27 million and Bleed For This at number 10 with £0.25 million.
Highest total grossing movie this week is Fantastic beasts and longest run on the box office is Trolls which has been around now for 7 weeks.
