Marvel continue their run of really strong hit film and introduce a new character to the MCU in the shape of Doctor Strange which this week enters the global box office at the top.

Released in 33 countries the Benedict Cumberbatch film took $86 million on its debut week, a figure which is double that of the film at number 2.

At number 2 is Inferno which this weeks gets its US release and holds firm at number 2, a $44.1 million week from 62 countries brings the total gross to $147.7 million.

Last weeks top film, Jack Reacher Never Go Back, falls to number 4 this week with $21.1 million from 47 countries, this brings the total gross to $93.8 million.

Boo! A Madea Halloween is still at number 5 and is still only released in a single country, America! Top total grossing movie on the global top 10 this week is Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children which has now grossed $243 million.

Tyler Perry keeps a grip on the top of the US box office despite some competition from Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise.

Boo! A Madea Halloween retains the number 1 position in America with a second weekend gross of $16.6 million, this brings the films total gross after 10 days of release to $52 million.

Coming in at number 2 is the third film in the Dan Brown Da Vinci Code trilogy Inferno, the film would have been expected to go to the top but Halloween was too strong a call.

Tom cruise keeps the pressure up but falls to number 3 with Jack Reacher Never Go Back, its second weekend take is $9.5 million.

Top total grossing movie on the US box office this week is Storks with $68.2 million , it is also the longest running film at 6 weeks.

Its a very quiet time for big new releases at the moment and Jack Reacher manages to top the global box office with a weekly gross of $54 million from 31 countries.

After a week at the top Inferno falls into second place this week with $28.9 million, this brings the films total gross after 2 weeks of release to $64.8 million from 58 countries.
