News from around the web

I just checked out the site for next years revamp/restart of the Spider-Man series, and was pleasantly surprised, not only is there plenty of content but it's good quality what is there.

The site has been recently updated with a wealth of information. There is a big gallery and the so so trailer, there is also rich information about the filmmakers, the cast, a cool breakdown of the characters and brief breakdown of the story (not too much is given away so no spoilers)

I've been sceptical about this "reboot" (I love the first two Sam Raimi films), I still am sceptical but this is a reassuring site that lets me know that just maybe this is a new twist on the familiar story.

Check the site out at The Amazing Spider-Man site.

I just checked out the new Iron Man 2 trailer, and for a film that I thought was going to be another Iron Man, this is actually looking good.

The first film although fun was basically just another super hero movie that ticked all the right boxes. The inevitable sequel was to follow after the amount of money it made and as always with sequels the ante had to be upped.

Bring in Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow for a bit of glamour and Mickey Rourke as the bad guy and suddenly things are starting to look a whole lot better.

The second trailer for the film shows a lot of promise, Mickey Rourke's Whiplash is quite wonderfully shown off in the trailer and there is just enough of Scarlett Johansson to seriously whet the appetite.

And this is ignoring the fact that there is also glimpses of Samuel L. Jackson which is always enough to make a trailer worth watching.
