It Chapter Two brings to and end a quiet couple of weeks at the UK box office as it enters the top of the box office while Polish Political drama Polityka enters inside the top 5.

IT Chapter Two

Its been 2 years since the original IT scared audiences on its debit weekend to the tune of £10 Million, the sequel has not quite reached that mark but the £7.3 Million has given the UK box office a boost.

Whereas the first film relied on its young cast and the thought of Pennywise the clown to carry the film this film brings in some big hitting stars like Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy and Bill Hader.

The first film went on to £32 Million in the UK and hung around till the end of October (Halloween), expect this to not quite do as well as its predecessor but hang around until late October.

Once Upon a Time ... In Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino's (who lets face it is the real star of this movie) 9th film falls to number 2 this week and is easily his most successful film to date as this weekend it take £1 Milllion.

This pushes the movies total gross to £18.5 Million after 4 weeks of release.

Angel Has Fallen

The third film in the Fallen series starring Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman falls to number 3 this week with £695,622 taking its total to £5.9 Million.

The Lion King

Highest total grossing film on the box office this week and a £686,991 weekend puts its total at an incredible £73.1 after 8 weeks of release.

Polityka

Entering the box office at number 5 this week is a Polish Political drama starring Iwona Bielska and Marcin Bosak and directed by Patryk Vega.

The film takes a very respectable £517,255 on its debut from a limited run of 236 screens making an average of nearly £2,000 per screen.

Toy Story 4

Pixars mega hit has the longest run on the UK box office this weekend as the film notches up its 12th weekend with a total UK gross of £64.5 Million.

Director Andy Muschietti follows up the smash hit film It (2017) with It Chapter Two which the BBFC has passed uncut with a 15 age rating in the UK.

The first movie was a big hit 2 years ago when it hit cinemas and as the film only covered half the book a follow up was always going to happen, and this year we get to see The Losers Club all grown up.

The sequel called It Chapter Two sees the kids from the original come back to Derry 27 years later to confront Pennywise the clown again, and finish IT off.

The film stars among others Bill Skarsgard, Jessica Chastain and James Ivory.

The BBFC have granted the film a 15 rating for strong gory violence, horror, language, discrimination and it has an official runtime of 169 minutes (2 hours and 49 minutes), the release date is 6th September 2019.
