At the UK box office this weekend, Friday, 7th February 2020, there are 4 new releases looking to take your attention at the local multiplex and knock 1917 from the top of the UK box office chart next week.

Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn)

First up at cinemas this week is Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn), a movie directed by Cathy Yan who also directed Dead Pigs in 2018.

It stars Margot Robbie who last starred in Bombshell (2020).

The film also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead who last appeared in Gemini Man (2019).

Dolittle

Next on this weeks new release schedule is Dolittle.

This new movie stars Robert Downey Jr. who's last film was Avengers: Endgame (2019)

It also stars Antonio Banderas who appeared in The Laundromat (2019).

The film is brought to us by 4 time director Stephen Gaghan.

Parasite

Next up this week is Parasite which is directed by Bong Joon Ho and is a directorial debut.

It stars Kang-ho Song and Sun-kyun Lee.

Underwater

Also this week there is Underwater from director William Eubank who also directed The Signal in 2015.

The film features Kristen Stewart and Jessica Henwick in starring roles.

Not a sequel to Suicide Squad but certainly in the same universe Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn) is given a 15 age rating by the BBFC in the UK.

Starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn the film follows the further adventures and misadventures of the DC villain who is the former girlfriend of Joker.

Directed by Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs 2018) this is her first major feature, the movie also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ewan McGregor.

The film has been given its 15 age rating for strong violence, injury detail, language, sexual threat and it has a runtime of 109 minutes 1 hour 49 minutes) and the movie was passed uncut.

The movie is release on 7th February 2020.

It's been a long time coming but we final get the first trailer for the much anticipated Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn) starring Margot Robbie.

The film which is a sort of spin off from Suicide Squad, is directed by Cathy Yan, this is her first major feature after directing the low budget Dead Pigs in 2018.

The film team Harley Quinn with a whole host of other bad ass women and has Ewan McGregor as Black Mask for the women to beat up on.
