As the box office summer season moves into the next gear sequel movie Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes gets its UK release and top the UK box office.

The movie takes £3.8 Million on its debut, which in recent times is not a terrible opening weekend but it is half that of War For the Planet of the Apes £7.1 Million from 7 years ago.

Last weeks top movie The Fall Guy takes a hard tumble from the top this week with a weekend gross of £948,970, a 74% drop from last week.

Only 1 movie this weekend took over a million, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and with a total 15 combines gross of £6.3 Million this of the lowest box office total since December 6th 2022 when Matilda The Musical spent its 3rd weekend at the top.
