Quentin Tarantine scores his biggest opening weekend in the UK with his new film Once Upon A Time In ... Hollywood as it makes its debut on the box office with last weeks number 1 falls to number 2.

Once Upon a Time ... In Hollywood

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt the fictional tale based around real life events in Hollywood in the late 1960's hits the top of the UK box office with a fantastic debut of £7.5 Million.

This is easily the best debut by a film from famed director Tarantino who's highest grossing film to date is Django Unchained from 2013.

The Lion King

Disneys remake falls to number 2 this week after re-taking the top spot last week with a £2.5 Million 5th weekend.

The films total UK gross is now £65.9 Million and its starting to knock on the door of Beauty And The Beast to be the top grossing Disney animated remake.

Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs and Shaw

The Fast & Furious franchise picture falls another place to number 3 this week with £1.4 Million on its 3rd weekend.

The film now has a total UK gross of £16.2 Million.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold

Based on the Nickelodeon educational cartoon Doara The Explorer this live action version has more to do with Indianan Jones than the source material.

The films built in audience took it to number 4 for its debut with a gross of £1.1 Million.

Toy Story 4

Pixars sequel movie sits at number this week with a weekend gross of £1 Million which takes its total UK gross to £61.2 Million after 9 weeks of release.

The Secret Life of Pets 2

Re-entering the box office this week is the animated sequel movie which thanks to the British summer holidays is at number 14 this week with a total gross of £19.2 Million 13 weeks on the chart.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese top the charts this week as they debut their new collaboration The Wolf of Wall Street.

The film takes over at the top taking a reasonable £4,655,984 from it's opening weekend. Sliding to the runner up spot after a week at the top is fellow Oscar contender 12 years a Slave.

This time last year Les Miserables was still at the top of the chart with Django Unchained coming in as a new entry at two.

Five years ago Slumdog Millionaire was still riding the Oscar wave at the top while Will Smith debuted his latest film Seven Pounds at two.

Ten years ago The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King was still the top film in the UK with sci-fi drama Paycheck making it's debut at four.

Fifteen years ago Meet Joe Black took over the top spot at the box office on it's debut with the previous weeks top film Star trek: Insurrection falling to four.
