The Pixar film Toy Story 4 remains at the top of the US box office for a second weekend and Annabelle Comes Home makes a good new entry at number 2.

Dumbo

13 weeks on and the longest stay on the chart the live action of Disney's animated tale has taken $115.5 Million.

Maybe the reception was a little more muted than Warner Bros. would have liked but Godzilla: King Of The Monsters still makes its debut at number 1 on the US box office.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

The sequel to 2014's Godzilla hits the US box office at the top with a weekend gross of $49 million which compared to the original is nearly half its $93 million debut.

Warner have big plans for the monster series and this is maybe a warning shot that the western movie fan is not as interested as those in China for example where the film had a monster opening.

The film is also lower than 2017's Kong: Skull Island and with a Kong and Godzilla matchup coming in 2020 there are warning signs.

Aladdin

Rocketman

Making its debut at number 3 this week is the Elton John bio-pic which takes a respectable $25 million.

The John Wick series of films has gained more popularity as each film has been released and this week the series reaches its pinacle as John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum makes its debut at the top.

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu

The live action film starring Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Pikachu, which made its debut last weekend at the top falls to 2 this week with a £2.7 million gross.

This pushes the films total to a non too shabby £8.9 million after 2 weeks of release.

The Nintendo favourite bounces to the top of the UK box office on its opening weekend of release with a debut gross of £5 million.

The film which is directed by Rob Letterman and stars Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Pikachu and Justice Smith removes Avengers: Endgame after just 2 weeks, although the Marvel movie is still going strong.

Avengers: Endgame

The might of the Marvel film is still going in the UK as the film takes £4.4 million on its third weekend which takes its total UK gross to £80.4 million.

It is now the 6th top film in the UK having just overtaken Titanic, the film now has Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Avatar in its sights.

The Hustle

The buddy con artist film remake makes its debut at number 3 this weekend after luke warn reviews across the board.

The film starring fan favourites Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson takes £1 million on its opening weekend.

Long Shot

Avengers: Endgame

The latest Marvel movie, and end of this phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, took a gigantic £43.4 million on its debut weeekend.

Spectre in 2015 took the title with a 7 day opening, Monday - Sunday, so this is actually more impressive.

The film opened higher than expectation and we will be watching over the coming weeks to see if the film continues to gross well and beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens £123 million total gross, the highest in the UK.

Dumbo

Tim Burtons live action remake continues to do well at the UK box office and remains at number 2 this week with £1.02 Million.

This pushes the films total UK gross to £23.3 million after 5 weeks of release, comparatively the film is doing better in the UK than many other countries.

Wonder Park

The animated film climbs from 7 back to number 3 on its 3rd weekend of release with a £454,366 weekend, pushing its total to £3.8 million.

Red Joan
