A 6th incredible weekend at the top of the global box office for the web slinger as the movie takes $41.8 Million from 64 countries, giving the movie a very slim 23% drop over last weekend.
The movie has now taken $1.6 Billion over its 6 week run, it is the top movie globally of 2022 and the 7th top movie of all time, it will over take Jurassic World this week to be the 6th top movie of all time and the highest grossing movie under $2 Billion.
Staying at number 2 for a second weekend is the reboot of the Scream franchise which takes $22.6 Million from 55 countries, a reasonable 55% drop.
This gives the movie a total gross of $84 Million after 5 weeks of release globally and it is the 3rd top movie of 2022.
Also staying put this week and at number 3 is the smash hit animated movie from director Garth Jennings which takes $18.5 Million from 60 countries, a very nice 10% increase over last weekend.
The movie has now taken an incredible $241.2 Million globally and is the 2nd top movie of 2022.
No movie for the prequel movie from director Matthew Vaughn which takes $7.9 Million on its 5th weekend of release from 46 countries, a very low 23% drop over last weekend.
the movie now has a total global gross of $105.3 Million during its 5 weeks of release and is the 4th top movie of 2022.
The hit Chinese release is still only released in 4 countries and this week climbs back up 1 place to number 5 with $5.2 Million, a 23% drop, which gives the movie a 4 week total global gross of $137.1 Million.
Spider-Man: No Way Home continues it's run at the top of the global box office this weekend as it spends a fourth weekend at the top, and with audience being unimpressed with the weekends new release, The 355 makes its debut at number 8 with $6.3 Million.

Global box office top 5 breakdown weekend 7th - 9th January 2022
Four weeks in the the Marvel/Sony movie is still outstripping everything at the global box office as the movie takes $97.4 Million over the weekend from 63 countries, a slim 26% drop.
The movie has been the biggest thing to hit the global box office in a couple of year and this weekend its total global gross sits at an amazing $1.5 Billion.
It is now the 8th top movie of all time having just overtaken The Avengers from 2012.
THe animated sequel is proving to be a big hit at the global box office as the movie jumps to number 2 on it's third weekend with $29 Million from 55 countries, a very slim 21% drop over last weekend.
The movie has now taken $190.8 Million over its 3 week global release.
Director Matthew Vaughn's prequel movie jumps to number 3 from 6 on its third weekend with a gross of $16.6 Million from 44 countries, a slim 10% drop over last weekend.

THe latest movie in The Matrix series has had a troubled box office run so far but this week jumps to number 5 from 7 with a gross of $9.5 Million, a reasonable 45% drop over last weekend.
The movie is still on release in a huge 77 countries and has taken $76.2 Million globally to date.
There is no stopping Spider-Man: No Way Home at the moment as it spends a third weekend at the top of the global box office and keeps 3 new big hits from China at bay.

Three weeks at the top of the global box office now for the web-slinger as he clinches another weekend at the top with $131 Million from 62 countries, 35% drop.
The movie goes into 2022 with a total gross of $1.3 Billion, it was the top grossing movie of 2021 and is the current top movie of 2022 and is the 12 top movie of all time having just taken Black Panther.
There a 3 new movie on the global box office this weekend from China, the highest of which is the highest debuting movie.
Director Xiaolu Xue's film lands at number 3 this weekend with a gross of $83.9 Million from 3 countries.
The second is the fifth and final movie in director David Lam's series of movies, a $55.5 Million debut from 6 countries gives it a number 3 debut.
The animated sequel falls to number 4 this weekend with a take of $36.8 Million from 49 countries, a very slim 14% drop over last weekend.
