Its been a quiet start to the year so far with nothing setting the box office alight and although this week is no different we do have 3 new releases in the top 5 headed by How To Train Your Dragon 3 at the top.
The third film in the How To Train Your Dragon series takes over at the top of the UK box office with a £5.3 million opening weekend.
Compared to the previous 2 film this is on par with the first part but below the second part which opened to £7 million plus.
The Oscar nominated film starring Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali makes its debut at number 2 this week with a £1.6 million opening.
The James McAvoy and Bruce Willis starring film falls from the top spot this week to number 3 where is grosses just shy of a million pound on its 3rd weekend.
The film has now taken £8.6 million in the UK but at the moment looks unlikely to beat either the other 2 film in the series, Split and Unbreakable, in UK grosses.
Entering the chart at number 4 this week is this run of the mill horror film which directed by Adam Robitel which takes £820,000 on its debut.
After a couple of weeks at number 2 the historical drama falls to number 5 this week with £782,000 which boosts its UK total gross to £6.6 million.
All change again at the top of the global box office with M. Night Shyamalan new film Glass taking over from Aquaman, there were no other new film on the top 10.

Still doing well on a global level is the Transformers movie which this week is at 2 and takes $25 million from 65 countries to bring its total global gross to $412.3 million.
Falling from the top spot this week after celebrating the $1 billion goal the DC movie takes $24.6 million from 80 countries which boosts its total to an amazing $1.06 billion.
After an impressive debut last week the Kevin Hart comedy/Drama is at 4 this week taking $17.7 million from 44 countries which boosts its total global gross to $48 million.
Finishing off the top 5 this week is the horror film Escape room which is still showing in 17 countries and take $14.7 million for a $53 total gross.
In a time when superhero movies and special effects extravagansas rule its good to see a story driven Drama/Comedy hot the top spot with The Upside beating Aquaman this weekend.
Film fans went for the Kevin Heart and Bryan Cranston starring comedy this weekend directed by Neil Burger in a pleasant surprise for the post holiday box office.
In a low taking box office the new release takes $19.5 million on its debut weekend.
Falling to number 2 this weekend the new memeber of the global $1 Billion club takes $17.2 million to boost its total US gross to $287.8 million.
Also new this week at number 3 is this dog based film starring Bryce Dallas Howard and directed by Charles Martin Smith which manages a debut weekend of $11.3 million.
Sony's animated hit falls to number 4 this week this a weekend of $9 million bringing the US gross to $147.7 million.
Finishing off the top 5 is last weeks top new film which takes $8.9 million on its second weekend which brings the films total of $32.4 million.
