The selling power of The Divergent Series Insurgent was too strong for any new comers this week although there was a trio of new films inside the top 5.

Highest new film of the week is Run All Night starring the ever popular Liam Neeson which enters the video chart at number 2.

The film was released at UK cinemas on 13th March 2015 entering the box office at number 2, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel was too strong to be beaten that week.

It was a bad week for film that week and on it's debut it made less than £1 million pound, the film didn't hand around for long a disappeared after a 3 week run taking £2 million in total.

Also new inside the top 5 this week Get Hard at number 3 and The Water Diviner number 4.

Also new on the video chart this week is Robot Overlords which enters at number 7.

At the world box office this week Fast and Furious 7 is still street ahead of the crowd as it's gross for it's second weekend of release hits $255.5 million.

This now gives the film an $800 million world gross and it is certain to hit the $1 billion mark in the coming weeks.

Highest new film is The Longest Ride at number 5, a total weekend gross of $16.5 million from 29 territories, the film is yet to open in much of Europe.

2nd this week is Home with $34 million and 3rd is Cinderella with just shy of $20 million.

Wolf Warrior this week takes $18 million, still doing strong numbers at 4 despite only being released in China.

Opening to a massive global gross of $384 million from the 64 countries it was released in, Furious 7 (or Fast and Furious 7 as it's called in some countries) made it's mark and out grossed the rest of the top 10 combined.

Home fell to second with $48 million while the live action version of Cinderella is still doing well grossing �34 million across the globe.

The Divergent Series Insurgent is at 4 with $25 million, and finishing off the top five is Wolf Warrior from director Jacky Wu which grossed $22 million from just a single territory.

At the UK box office this weekend the Kenneth Branagh directed live action version of Cinderella from Disney makes it's debut at the top.

Cinderella took a reasonable £3.8 million over the weekend to see it to number 1, in comparison to last years Maleficent also from Disney based on a much loved animation it half the debut gross.

The film should do well in the next couple of weeks as its the school Easter holidays, but with Home still on release and Spongebob also out there it has competition.

Home falls from the top to number 2 this week in it's second weekend of release, a £2.6 million Monday to Friday sees it's gross now stand at nearly £10 million.

Other new film hitting the box office chart this week are: The Spongebob Movie Sponge Out of Water which lands at 3 but should do well over the Easter break, Get Hard which lands at 4, Seventh Son which has a disappointing debut at 7 and Wild Tales which enters at 9.

Historical Charts

A Year Ago - Captain America: The Winter Soldier enters the box office at the top of the chart knocking The Grand Budapest Hotel down to number 3.

Five years ago - Nanny Mcphee and The Big Bang is the new film taking over from Alice In Wonderland at the top which falls down to number 2.

Ten years Ago - Hitch goes back to the top after surrendering the number 1 spot to Robots for a week, Robots falls to number 2.

Fifteen years ago - Another week at the top for Toy Story 2 while the top new film of the week was at number 5 in the shape of Magnolia

Home is still the top film for the second week at the world box office.

Taking $78 million across the globe Home is proving to be a global smash hit, it has now grossed $102 million in total.

With Cinderella 2nd and The Divergent Series Insurgent 3rd the top new film is Get Hard, only released in 9 countries the film takes $39 million on it't debut.

Kingsman The Secret Service rounds out the top 5 films.
