Marvel's adult orientated superhero movie Deadpool is the top new film of the week on the UK video sales list.

Deadpool was released at in the UK on 12th February 2016 and entered the box office at the top after a god advertising campaign.

The film had a really good run at the box office spending 3 weeks at the top and managing an 8 week run on the box office.

The film took £37.6 million at the UK box office making it the 54th top grossing movie and it took $775.6 million across the globe making it the 61st top grossing movie globally.

The Revenant fell from the top where it entered last week to number 3 this week.

Also new this week is Dads Army at number 2 and 13 Hours The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi at number 6, Bone Tomahawk makes a new entry at number 8 and The Finest Hour enters at number 16, finally Point Break (the remake) is new at 20.

After 4 week Star Wars: The Force Awakens ends its run at the top and drops down the third place making room for Ride Along 2.

The sequel comedy makes its US debut at the top with a gross os $34 million from just over 3,000 cinemas and a screen average of $10.721.

Top Oscar nominated The Revenant remains at 2 this week with the award ceremony certanly giving the film a boost, and with the film destined to win big this film could stay for a bit.

The Force Awakens fall to number 3 this wee with $25.1 million which increases it total to gross to $851 in the US, far and away making to top grossing film ever there.

Also new is 13 Hours The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi at number 4 and Norm of The North at number 6.

Despite the fact that it is very slowly starting to slow down The Force Awakens manages another week at the top without too much of a challenge.

Its lowest weekend gross since release the seventh Star Wars film takes $72.4 million across the globe which brings its total to $1.8 billion dollars, $2 billion is just around the corner.

The film is the number 3 top grossing film and on current form could even struggle to become the second top grossing film, it has Avatar and Titanic in its way and the $2.8 billion of Avatar seems out of reach now.

Top new film is Ride Along 2 which is new at 3 with a $42 million opening weekend from 12 countries, the USA being the best of those.

Top grossing film on the world box office this weekend is The Force Awakens, and lets face it it will be until it leaves the chart.
