News from around the web

The producers of the Bond series have announced that the new Bond film, Bond 25, will get a title reveal tomorrow April 25th at an iconic Bond location.

This will presumably be the 007 stage at Pinewood studios in Ivor, near London England.

The title of the film will be revealed, although Barbara Broccoli has said it wont be the rumoured Shatterhand.

There is every possibility there will also be a poster reveal as well, although this will likely be Daniel Craig posing with a gun in a tuxedo, or some variant of that theme.

See you back here tomorrow at 1:10 GMT/5:10 PST for the event.

**UPDATE** During the web cast which was broadcast from Bond creator Ian Flemming's house Goldeneye in Jamaica, nothing of note was revealed other than the cast and who is writing the script, the good news there is as rumoured its Phoebe Waller-Bridge of TV's Fleabag fame which will bring a good level of humour to the film, something lacking in recent instalments.

Also of note is the inclusion of recent Oscar winner Rami Malek to the cast who will play the lead villain.

UK Box Office Report Weekend 11th December 2015: Four at the top for Mockingjay, Grandma highest new film at 19! Retaining its position at the top of the UK box office this week is The Hinger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 which has now spent 4 weeks as the number 1 film.

Mockingjay this week grosses £1.2 million to give it a total gross of £25.4 million, the second lowest of The Hunger Games films after the first movie.

There were no new releases this week on the box office, Grandma was the closest thing to a new entry which came in at number 19 from 92 screens and a £35,000 opening gross.

By The Sea starring and Directed by Angelina Jolie was new at number 23 and took £24,000 from its debut.

Spectre was yet again the highest total grossing film on the chart this week, still at number 3 and now taken £92 million after 7 weeks.

Point to note is the top 5 this week was the same as the top 5 last week.

Historical charts

A year ago - The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies was the new film at the top of the box office knocking Paddington down to 2.

Five years ago - The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader made its debut at the top knocking Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 down to number 2.

Ten years ago - The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe was the top film in the country knocking Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire down to number 2 - (something looks familiar there)

Fifteen years ago - How The Grinch Stole Christmas made it 2 weeks at the top while 102 Dalmatians was the highest new film at number 3.

Twenty years ago - The Santa Clause was the top new film of the week knocking Goldeneye down to number 2.

A third week at the top for The Hunger Games: Mockingly Part 2 in the wake of little in the way of new releases in the UK.

The box office is on hold at the moment waiting for one of the biggest releases of the year which left room for Mockingly to make £2.2 million.

This brings the total UK gross for the last of The Hunger Games films to £23.3 million after 3 weeks of release.

Highest new film of the week is Christmas with the Coopers, an all American movie about family meeting up for the holiday season.

A very low debut gross of nearly £700,000 puts the film at number 5, little chance of this film having longevity at the box office though.

Highest total grossing film on the box office is Spectre which has to date grossed over £90 million and this week is at number 3.

The last of The Hunger Games films adds £4.5 million on its second weekend of release which brings its total to £19.3 million after 10 days of release.

The film is almost mirroring the take of the second and third film in the series and will most likely end up grossing somewhere is the region of £30 million which is the same as part 1.

Highest new film of the week is The Good Dinosaur at number 2, the new film from Pixar takes a debut gross of £2.9 million, not quite but certainly one of the lowest gross from a Pixar film.

Highest total grossing film on the Uk box office this week is Spectre which after 5 weeks has grossed £88.3 million.

Warner have decided to buy the Watford based Leavesden studios for a cool £100 million and turn it into their hub for European production specialising in Special Effects and location filming as well as film editing.

The studio has been in operation since 1995 and was established to in an old Rolls-Royce factory in the small village of Leavesdon to film the James Bond movie Goldeneye because Pinewood Studios was full at the time.

Since it's opening the Studio has seen blockbusters such as the Harry Potter series, Star Wars Episode 1 and scenes from The Dark Knight file there.

When you think that back in the early 90's the film production in Britain was at an all time low we now have a thriving British film industry, this can only help.
