Barbie spends a fourth weekend at the top of the UK box office which means it now ties with Avatar: THe Way of Water and The Super Mario Bros Movie as the longest number 1 of 2023.

The movie is now by far the top grossing movie of 2023 with £78.2 Million and it probably wont be beaten going in the end of the year.

Oppenheimer still sits at number 2 behind Barbie but with a gross of £45.7 Million it is the third top movie of 2023.

Based on the Playstation video game Gran Turismo is the top new movie of the weekend at 4 with just over £1 Million, but this is a far cry from the £4.7 Million of Uncharted from 2022 which was also based on a Playstation video game.

Barbie retains the top of the US box office for a third straight weekend as its total gross gets near to the $500 Million mark.

Meg 2: The Trench is the top new movie of the weekend with a debut gross of just over $30 Million, lower than the original 2018 movie.

Oppenheimer falls to number 3 this weekend as its total gross goes over the $200 Million milestone at teh North American box office.

Barbie spends a second weekend at the top with Oppenheimer once again at number 2 as the Barbie total gross goes past $350 Million with Oppenheimer pushing towards the $200 Million mark.

This is Margo Robbies top grossing movie to date beating out the 2016 movie Suicide Squad which took $325 Million.

With the school half term being a wet and miserable time in most parts of the UK the cinema was clearly a good option for parents as 3 animated features dominate the charts.

At the top there is no change as The Lego Movie stays for a second week taking £6 million, climbing back up a place is Mr Peabody and Sherman, while climbing to third is Disney's Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy.
