Ford V Ferrari

Directed by James Mangold this racing drama makes its debut at the top of the global box office with ease taking $52.4 Million over the weekend from 42 countries.

The film got decent reviews from critics which will have helped although during a very quite November for the global box office its a lot total for a number one film.

Charlie's Angels

The movie reboot no-one asked for directed by Elizabeth Banks makes its debut at number 2 on the global box office with $27.9 Million from only 27 countries.

The film didn;t set the box office alight and with mixed reviews from critics we could see this disappear quickly.

Joker

The DC villain movie starring Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro is at 3 this week and takes $18.6 Million over its 7th weekend of release from a large 80 countries.

This pushes the film past the incredible $1 Billion mark at the global box office, a feat which before release seemed very unlikely.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Disney's tentpose sequel movie has been a slow burner but the Angelina Jolie movie this week takes $17 Million from 54 countries on its 5th weekend for a total gross of $458 Million.

Last Christmas

The Christmas movie directed by Paul Feig falls to number 5 on its 2nd weekend with $15.3 Million from 22 countries for a $35.5 Million total.

Terminator: Dark Fate

Rebooting movies with original stars clearly does not always work and the Terminator series is a prime example as the new movie falls from the top where it spent 2 weeks to number 6, the film total take is just $233.6 Million after 3 weeks.

The latest Terminator film went wide this last weekend and although the film topped the global box office its a worrying time for the franchise, highest new entry is Weathering With You at number 6.

Terminator: Dark Fate

The new terminator movie opens wide this week in an extra 39 countries which brings its country count to 49 and takes $101.9 Million over the weekend.

The film way have made its way to the top of the global box office but this is lower at this point in the films run than the previous film Terminator Genisys which was considered a flop.

This entry in the long running franchise was supposed to be the start of a new trilogy, ironically like the previous film, but with these figures a long post mortem will need to be had.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Despite a slow start the Angelina Jolie sequel movie seems to be holding its own at the box office and this week takes $52.6 Million from 57 countries.

This boosts the films total global gross to $383.2 Million after 3 weeks of release, the film no doubt helped by Halloween last week and heavy promotion from Disney.

Joker

The DC villain movie continues to defy the odds and this week falls only to number 3 after 5 weeks of release with $50.9 Million from 80 Countries.

This pushes the films total gross to $934 Million and it should pass the Billion mark by next weekend or the weekend after.

Better Days

Last weeks top film falls to number 4 this week with $47.7 Million from just 3 countries, the film total gross is now $170.2 Million.

The Addams Family

The animated feature based on the Spooky Kooky family is at 5 this week with $34.4 Million from 33 countries for a total of $129 Million after 4 weeks.

The sequel movie The Secret Life Of Pets 2 hits the top of the US box office on its debut weekend leaving the x-Men film Dark Phoenix to make its debut at number 2

The Secret Life of Pets 2

Sequel to the 2016 movie The Secret Life Of Pets the new film hits the top of the box office on its debut weekend with a gross of $48 million.

This is far lower than the originals massive $104 million debut, it went on to gross a total of $368.3 million in the US which looks like a tough call for the sequel.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Despite the heavy hype the latest (and maybe last) X-Men movie has been poorly received by critics and hits the number 2 spot on its debut with $33 million.

This is by far the lowest of all the X-Men films and will probably end up being the lowest grossing of the series under 20th Century Fox before Disney take over.

Aladdin

Still riding high on the chart after 3 weeks of release the Disney movie is at 3 this week with $24.5 million.

This pushes the films total US gross to a very acceptable $232.2 million.

Avengers: Endgame

Making a slow decent down the charts the mega hit film is at number 8 after 7 weeks of release with a total US gross of $824.3 million.

As has become the norm in the 10 years Marvel have dominated the Superhero movie scene when a new film is released is not only dominated it destroys all in its path.

This week Disney/Marvel release a new IP onto the cinematic world in the shape of Black Panther and it has become the biggest non Avengers film in the franchise.

Taking an incredible $192 million from the weekend is has shattered the record held by Deadpool for highest grossing debut film on a February.

Sticking at number 2 this week is Peter Rabbit who takes $17.2 million for the weekend and boosts its cume to $48 million.

Third this week is Fifty Shades Freed which falls quite heavy from its number one debut with $16.9 million for a $76 million total.

Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle has so surpassed all expectations its now looking like it could outgross Sony stablemate Spider-Man which before now was the highest grossing movie for the studio, a $7.6 million 9th weekend pushes its total to $377.6 million.

Finally Clint Eastwood's The 15:17 To Paris is at number 5 with $7.6 million for a total of $25 million.
