hits the top of the global box office in another quiet weekend with the Hollywood movie Smile~2022 coming in behind it at number 2.Further down the chart Indian movie Ponniyin Selvan: I is new at number 7 with $8.7 Million, Ordinary Hero is also new at number 8 with $8.4 Million while Hollywood movie BROS is new at 9 with $4.8 Million.
Outside the top 10 there is a new release at number 12 with Honest Candidate 2 which takes $2.7 Million on its debut.

It was the SuperBowl in America this last weekend and traditionally the box office suffered, but in the current COVID-19 climate it was worse than normal.
Top of the box office was once again The Little Things and with no new films inside the top 10 the top 5 movies once again just jumped around a bit.
The highest new movie of the week is Earwig And The Witch which entered at number 12 although there was a re-release of The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring which entered at number 8.

US top 5 box office breakdown weekend 5th - 7th February 2021.
Remaining at the top for a second weekend the Denzel Washington, Rami Malek and Jared Leto starring movie made $2.1 Million this weekend, 55% down from its debut last weekend.
This takes the movies total box office gross to $7.8 Million, the movie is also available on HBO Max.
Remaining at number 2 for another weekend the animated sequel movie takes $1.68 Million on its 11th weekend of release, only 8% down from last weeekend.
This gives the movie a total gross of $45.9 Million, and the movie has been available on digital streaming for over a month now.
Liam Neeson is one of the only actors to have has 2 movies released during the COVID-19 cinema closures, and this week his latest movie takes $959,585, 23% down from last weekend, the movie also jumps 1 place this week to number 3.
After 4 weeks the movie has taken $9 Million, the actors last movie, Honest Thief, had taken $11.17 Million byt the same point in its run.
The DC Universe super hero sequel falls to number 4 this weekend with $905,000, a 30% drop from last week, this gives the movie a 7 week gross of $40.3 Million.
Its also worth noting that this movie also got a release on HBO Max the same day as its theatrical release.
The Paul W.S. Anderson directed movie has now been on the box office for 7 weeks and this week remains at number 5 with a weekend gross of $391,990, this is 28% down from last week and gives the movie a total of $10.87 Million.
After a couple of weeks of Liam Neeson at the top Denzel Washington comes in with his new movie The Little Things and takes over on its debut weekend.
The Marksman drops down the chart as The Croods: A New Age holds strong along with Wonder Woman 1984.

Starring a powerhouse of Denzel Washington, Rami Malek and Jared Leto the murder mystery makes its debut at the top of the box office with $4.8 Million.
Not a bad debut for a movie during the COVID-19 pandemic with many cinemas closed, but clearly a lower debut than normal for all 3 leads.
The animated movies starring Nicholas Cage has gone from strength to strength during its cinema run despite being available on digital streaming through much of it!
This weekend the movie took $1.84 Millon wich it 2% up from last week, the total for the movie after 10 weeks is $43.9 Million.
The super hero movie from the DC Universe has had a hard time at the cinema, perhaps because it got mediocre reviews and was available on HBO Max from day one.
The movie has takes $1.3 Million this weekend, down 19% from last weekend, for a $39.2 Million total after 6 weeks.
Falling from the top to number 4 this week is the Liam Neeson movie which takes $1.2 Million, 38% down, for a $7.8 Million total after 3 weeks.
Compared to Neesons last movie, Honest Thief which also came out during the pandemic last October it is nearly $2 Million lower as that movie had taken $9.5 Million after 3 weeks.
The Paul W.S. Anderson video game adaptation falls to number 3 this weekend with $740,000, 10% down from last weekend, for an $11.1 Million 7 week total.
After scoring a big hit towards the end of 2020 with Honest Thief Liam Neeson is back once again in the Pandemic era with The Marksman which makes its debut a the top.
With many cinemas in the US still closed there are no other new film on the top 10 this weekend and the top 5 just performs a bit of a shift with everything dropping one place.
With no sigh yet of a return to normal we have a while to wait until we get a substantial new release.

Liam Neeson strikes again as he returns to the top in his latest starring role which takes $3.2 Million on its debut weekend.
Compared to Neeson's last release during the COVID-19 pandemic this is a little lower as Honest Thief took $3.7 Million on its debut.
The DC Universe superhero movie is available on streaming which will have effected its box office performance but this week falls from the top where it spent 3 weeks to number 2 with $2.6 Million, only 13% down from last weekend.
The movie has now taken $35.8 Million over its for weeks of release, as a comparison the original Wonder Woman from 2017 had taken $318.1 Million by the same point, but a comparison is unfair of course.
Doing surprisingly well still is the animated sequel starring Nicholas Cage which this week takes just over $2 Million, an increase of 11% from last weekend.
This pushes the movies total gross to $39.2 Million after 8 weeks of release, quite a feat considering the pandemic and that the movie is available on streaming.
The Tom Hanks staring Oscar contender falls to 4 this weekend with a gross of $1 Million, 15% drop from last weekend, giving the movie $8.5 Million after 4 weeks of release.
Paul W.S. Anderson's video game adaptation is at 5 this weekend with $920,000, 17% down from last weekend, giving the movie a new total of $9 Million after 5 weeks.
