Trilogy movie Magic Mike's Last Dance makes its debut at the North American box office on what is considered the quietest weekend of the year, during the American Football mega event the SuperBowl.
Also new this weekend is the 25th Anniversary re-release of Titanic while lower down the box office at 13 is Consecration directed by Christopher Smith which takes $329,951 over the weekend.
Highest new movie this weekend
Making its debut at the top of the box office this weekend is the threequel movie to the Magic Mike series which sees Steven Soderbergh return as director.
The movie which stars Channing Tatum and Salma Hayek takes $8 Million on its debut and is the lowest debut for a number 1 movie since The Invitation in August 2022.
As the mammoth hot movie continues its box office run it goes up the chart this weekend to number 2 on its 9th weekend of release.
the movie has taken an amazing $647.2 Million and this week breaks into the top 10 movies of all time in North America.
Its been 25 years since the Oscar winning movie from director James Cameron was released, and as he is hot property as the moment why not release a 4K remaster of the movie?
Despite the appearance of Marvel and superhero special effects heavy movies over the last 25 years this movie still pulls in the audiences, a simple tale of love abord a sinking boat!
Pulling in strong audiences on its second weekend of release, the well times release of this movie has been a good move for the studio.
The movie took an amazing $12 Million over its first full week (7 days) of release.
The sequel movie to Puss in Boots from the Shrek universe of movies stars to drop down the box office now but its $158.5 Million at the North American box office perhaps seals the touted Donkey spin off movie starring Eddie Murphy.
