No surprise to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens remain at the top of the video sales chart this week.

Destined to be one of the top selling films of the year, the home video release of the top film ever in the UK is still selling is large quantities.

Highest new film of the week is the Tina Fey and Amy Poehler co starring film Sisters.

Sisters was released at the UK box office the same weekend as The Force Awakens, and did quite well considering with an opening weekend of £1.2 million.

The film did only hang around for 4 weeks in total and during that time took a small £2.6 million.

Despite the good reviews the film did do that well, but it was in a time when the world was gripped in Star Wars fever and nothing else really mattered.

Also new this week are 2 other new releases: Joy is new at 3, Exposed is new at number 7, IP Man 3 enters at number 10 and Krampus is new at number 12.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 has it's last week at the top of the world box office this week before we all get engulfed in the phenominon that sill be Star Wars.

Mockingjay Part 2 took $26 million over the week from 93 countries and is still playing strong in Europe and North America, its total world gross is $564.5 million.

We have to look to China to find the highest new film of the week in the shape of Surprise - Journey To The West - it is only released in the one territory which makes the entry at 4 even more impressive.

HIghest total grossing film across the globe this week is, still, Spectre who's gross is now up to $820.5 million, it is still showing in 95 counties the highest at the moment.

The last Hunger Games film is still ruling the world box office this week taking another $51 million, although it does have a very wide release in 93 countries.

Highest new film of the week is Christmas horror film Krampus which is released in 25 counties, the film is new at 4 with $19 million.

Also new this week is In the Heart of the Sea at number 5 which gets a release in 38 countries and the Point Break remake gets a quiet release in 4 countries and is new at 8.

Highest total grossing movie on the world stage is Spectre which has now grossed $792 million and is still on release in 95 countries.

With little strong competition, and none due for a week or so, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 makes it another week at the top os the US box office.

The final Hunger Games film is ticking along nicely a third weekend gross of $18, million puts the film in the frame to end up in the same ball park as the previous 2 films.

Highest new film of the week is at number 2 in the shape of scare film Krampus. The new take on a christmas theme takes $16 million over its debut.

In a quiet post Thanksgiving weekend, and dangerously close to one of the more anticipated films of the year, Krampus was the only new entry.

Highest total grossing film is the number 1 film of the week which has to date grossed $227 million.
