Threequel movie Angel Has Fallen makes its debut at the top of the UK box office while Scary Movie To Tell In The Dark makes a debut inside the top 5.

Angel Has Fallen

Landing at the top of the box office this weekend is the third in the action series starring Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman.

The film takes a fairly respectable £2.11 Million over its debut weekend, this is lower than the last film London Has Fallen but about the same as the first film Olympus Has Fallen.

Once Upon a Time ... In Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino 9th film falls from the top spot into number 2 this weekend although it was a close call with the Hollywood history film taking £2.10 Million.

This pushes the films total UK gross to £12.7 Million after 2 weeks of release.

The Lion King

Disneys remake is still pulling in the audiences over the summer holidays and this week falls to 3 with a gross of £1.09 Million.

This takes the Jon Favreau directed movie to an excellent £69 Million after 6 weeks of release.

Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs and Shaw

The Fast & Furious film falls to number 4 this weekend with £634,421 on its 4th weekend of release.

This takes the Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham starring movie to a £12.8 Million total UK gross.

Scary Stories to Tell In the Dark

Second new entry inside the top 5, at 5, is the scare fest from director Andre Ovredal which takes £611,218 on its debut weekend.

Toy Story 4

Sitting at number 8 this week is the Pixar animated hit which is now 10 weeks into its box office run and has taken £62.5 Million.

The late summer at the US box office is generally a quiet one and is often a chance for smaller movie to have their day at the box office, this week Angel Has Fallen takes advantage and hits the top along with faith-based movie Overcomer also entering in the top 5.

Angel Has Fallen

The third part in the series of film starring Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman that started with Olympus Has Fallen then had its sequel London Has Fallen enter the box office at the top.

The film takes $21.2 Million on its debut which is almost identical to its immediate predecessor.

Bad Boys

Last weeks top film falls to number 2 this weekend with a gross of $11.7 Million which takes its 2 week total gross to $42 Million.

Overcomer

Also entering the US box office at number 3 this week is this sports based movie which takes $8.2 Million on its debut.

The film is a faith-based movie which have always done well in the US and the film is directed by Christian filmmaker Alex Kendrick.

The Lion King

Disneys live action animated remake falls to 4 this week with a gross of $8.1 Million on its 6th weekend of release.

With the film going over the $1.5 Million mark globally this last week it has take $510.6 Million in the US.

Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs and Shaw

The Fast & Furious franchise film falls to number 4 this week with $8.1 Million which takes its total to $147.7 after 4 weeks of release.

Spider Man: Far From Home

The MCU Spider-Man film (how many more will we have, if any?) is the longest running film on the US box office this week with 8 weeks and a total gross of $370.7 Million.

Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs And Shaw finally gets a Chinese release and flies back to the top of the global box office while a quiet overall weekend has Angel Has Fallen the highest new film.

Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs and Shaw

The Fast & Furious franchise movie gets a release in China, where these films have always done well, and takes $101 Million on its debut pushing the film back to the top of the global box office.

The films total weekend gross is $128 Million from 69 territories after 4 weeks of release which pushes its total gross to $588 Million, it will end its box office run as the third top grossing film of the franchise.

The Lion King

Disneys mammoth remake rises back to number 2 this weekend with a gross of $38 Million from 57 countries after 7 weeks of release.

The film has followed suit with other Disney remakes of animated movies and takes over a billion, this remake has gone one better than Beauty And The Beast and gone over $1.5 Billion and become the highest grossing remake to date.

Once Upon a Time ... In Hollywood

Tarantino's celebrated look at late 60's Hollywood falls to 3 this week with a gross of $33 Million from 56 countries after 5 weeks of release.

The film which will be one of the highest grossing non-Disney films by the end of the year has taken $239.7 Million to date.

Angel Has Fallen

Highest new film of the week is the Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman starring movie which is the third in the Fallen series which takes $29.6 Million from 31 countries which is in the same ball park as the previous film London Has Fallen.

Ne Zha

The Chinese produces animated movie takes $22.9 Million on its 5th weekend of release from 2 countries.

The Film has now taken an amazing $648.5 Million, with most of that from just a single territory.
