Being hailed as a new Christmas classic, Last Christmas makes its box office debut at the top and knocks Joker from number 1 after 6 weeks while Le Mans'66 also debuts high on the chart.

Last Christmas

Director Paul Feig brings to the big screen a story written by Emma Thompson and with music and influence by the late George Micheal that is set in London over Christmas and is set to be a seasonal favourite.

The movie which stars Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding took £2.6 Million on its debut and will no doubt continue to do well into the Christmas period.

Le Mans '66

The film known as Ford V. Ferrari in many parts of the world starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale makes its UK debut at number 2 this weekend.

THe film takes £2 Million on its debut weekend, altohugh despite the good reviews for the film I feel it will sink quite fast and move home video.

Joker

The DC villain movie falls to number 3 after an incredible 6 weeks at the top and the gross for the week is still just over the £1 Million mark.

After 7 weeks on the chart, the longest this week, the movie has taken £56.1 Million in total, the highest on this weeks chart.

The film is the 4th highest grossing of the year so far and with Toy Story 4 at number 3 and £10 Million ahead it wont climb and higher, in fact with Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker still due in 2019 there is a chance it could slip to number 5.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Disney's highly hyped sequel falls to number 4 this week with £690,871 for a total of £14 Million.

This may be far lower than the original film, but its higher than I would have expected the film to get after its opening weekend.

The Addams Family

The animated version of the kooky family falls to number 5 this week with £646,751 for a 4 week total of £9 Million.

Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in the racing drama Ford V Ferrari this week which makes its way to the top of the global box office which the Charlie's Angels Reboot also makes a high debut while Terminator: Dark Fate takes a heavy fall.

Ford V Ferrari

Directed by James Mangold this racing drama makes its debut at the top of the global box office with ease taking $52.4 Million over the weekend from 42 countries.

The film got decent reviews from critics which will have helped although during a very quite November for the global box office its a lot total for a number one film.

Charlie's Angels

The movie reboot no-one asked for directed by Elizabeth Banks makes its debut at number 2 on the global box office with $27.9 Million from only 27 countries.

The film didn;t set the box office alight and with mixed reviews from critics we could see this disappear quickly.

Joker

The DC villain movie starring Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro is at 3 this week and takes $18.6 Million over its 7th weekend of release from a large 80 countries.

This pushes the film past the incredible $1 Billion mark at the global box office, a feat which before release seemed very unlikely.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Disney's tentpose sequel movie has been a slow burner but the Angelina Jolie movie this week takes $17 Million from 54 countries on its 5th weekend for a total gross of $458 Million.

Last Christmas

The Christmas movie directed by Paul Feig falls to number 5 on its 2nd weekend with $15.3 Million from 22 countries for a $35.5 Million total.

Terminator: Dark Fate

Rebooting movies with original stars clearly does not always work and the Terminator series is a prime example as the new movie falls from the top where it spent 2 weeks to number 6, the film total take is just $233.6 Million after 3 weeks.
