Directed by celebrated Oscar winning director Ethan Coen, Drive-away Dolls is given a 15 age rating for very strong language, strong sex references, sex, nudity, violence.

The movie stars Matt Damon who has previously starred in Stuck On You and Gerry among many others, it also stars man of the moment Pedro Pascal who starrs in two of the biggest TV shows of the last couple of years as well as starring in movies If Beale Street Could Talk and The Sixth Gun.

The movie is directed by Ethan Coen who has gone alone this time instead of sharing the credit with his brother Joel, Etan has previously directed Intolerable Cruelty and Fargo.

Movie Synopsis

In search of a fresh start, two women embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, Fla. However, things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way.

Top new movie of the weekend of the Channing Tatum starring Dog which enters the box office at number 5.

Uncharted

After the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home Tom Holland stars in another number one movie which is making bog money at the box office around the globe as the Ruben Fleischer directed video game adaptation jumps up to the top of the box office.

Showing bow in 63 countries the movie takes $99.55 Million globally over the weekend, a 63% increase over last weekend.

Video game adaptation have a reputation of not doing so well but with $135 Million total gross to date this is bucking the trend.

The movie is the 6th top movie of 2022 so far.

Death On the Nile

Director Kenneth Branagh's adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel jumps to number 2 this weekend with $26 Million from 51 countries, a slim 22% drop over last weekend.

The movie has now taken $74.8 Million over 2 weeks of release and its the 9th top movie of 2022.

The Battle At Lake Changjin II

After an amazing couple of weeks at the top of the global box office the movie falls to number 3 this weekend with $19 Million from 5 countries, a 55% drop over last weekend.

The movie has now taken $580.8 Million over its 3 weeks of release and is the top grossing movie of 2022.

Too Cool to Kill

Falling to number 4 this weekend is the Xing Wenxiong directed movie which takes $17.3 Million from 3 countries, a 54% drop over last weekend, giving the movie a total gross of $369.2 Million and its the 3rd top movie of 2022.

Dog

Highest new movie of the weekend is the Channing Tatum starring film which lands at number 5 this week having taken $16.2 Million from 3 countries.

Director Nia DaCosta brings her re-image of the 1990's Candyman movie to the big screen and hit the top of the box office on its debut weekend.

With a high profile new relese there are no other big movies out this weekend and the only other new release in the top 15 is An Egg Rescue at number 13 with $430,000.

Candyman

The classic horror movie from the 1990's is given a modern makeover by director Nia DaCosta which takes $22.3 Million on its debut weekend.

The original movie which stars Virginia Madsen and Tony Todd was from a story by renown horror write Clive Barker, the remake is brought to us by man of the moment horror diretor/producer Jordan Peele who wrote the story with the director DaCosta and Win Rosenfeld

Even more incredible is that this is the first movie to make its debut at the top of the US box office from a black female director, an amazing achievement.

Free Guy

The sleeper smash hit from director Shawn Levy falls to number 2 this weekend with a gross of $13.5 Million which is only 28% lower than last weekend on the movies third week on the box office.

This gives the movie a US total gross of $79.3 Million which makes it the 7th top movie of 2021.

The PAW Patrol: Movie

Dropping to number 3 this week is the Children's favourite which takes $6.6 Million on its second weekend, a fairly steep 49% drop over last weekend.

The movie has now taken $24 Million in total in the US.

Jungle Cruise

Dropping a single place to number 4 this week is Disney's action adventure movie which takes $5 Million on its 5th weekend, a 19% drop.

The movie has now passed the $100 Million mark in America which makes it the 4th top movie of 2021.

Don't Breathe 2

The horror movie sequel falls to 5 with $2.8 Million, down 44%, giving the movie a total gross of $24.5 Million after 3 weeks of release.

Considering the original was an alright sci-fi movie that was immediately forgettable the sequel is getting a lot of hype.

Maybe its because it stars man of the moment John Boyega but anyway here is the new trailer for the film.

Released in the UK on 23rd March we don't have long to wait to see if its worth the hype.

This week Ben Affleck scores his second number one film of 2016 with The Accounts which knocks off The Girl on The Train.

Seemingly man of the moment the Oscar winning Affleck takes over at the top with a relatively low $24.7 million weekend, but still its another top film this year after superhero film Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice.

In fact strictly speaking this is his third top film of the year after the very extended cameo he had as Batman in Suicide Squad, but lets not give him too much credit.

Falling off the top after only one week is thriller The Girl on The Train, a second weekend of $11.9 million brings the films total gross to $46.5 million after 10 days of play.

Also new this week is Kevin Hart: What Now? at number 3 with $11.9 million, this is the same of The Girl on The Train and if correct after final tallies there is a tie for number 2 and 3.

Longest running film and highest total grossing film on the top 10 in America this week is Sully, 6 weeks on the chart and a total of $118.3 million.
