Kathryn Newton stars in the new comedy horror movie Lisa Frankenstein which has ben given a 15 age rating for strong violence, bloody images

The movies star Kathryn Newton has also appeared in movies such as Paranormal Activity 4 and Blockers, the movie also stars Liza Soberano who appeared in My Ex and Whys.

The movie is directed by Zelda Williams who as well as directing a number of music videos directed Kappa Kappa Die in 2020.

One of the top music stars in the modern era Taylor Swift is performing a sell out world tour and for those who could not make it a recording is hitting cinemas, and Taylor Swift The Eras Tour has been giving a 12A age rating in the UK for infrequent strong language.

As the name would suggest the cinema experience stars Taylor Swift who has previously appeared in The Giver and Cats.

The movie series formerly known as the DCEU is coming to an end with James Gunn taking over as show runner, but there are a couple more movies left in the ols series and this week has the release of The Flash.

The movie opens to £4.2 Million which is twice that of Shazam Fury of the Gods from earlier this year, but it is way short of the series most successful movie Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice which opened to £14.6 Million.

Falling into second place after a 2 week run at the top is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse with a total of £20 Million and falling to 4th is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts with a 60% drop over last weekend.

Based on the music of Take That Greatest Days is new at 5 with £536,955 while there is a re-entry for Fleabag: NT Live 2019 at £86,597 ahead of Phoebe Waller-Bridge starring in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

With the studios clearing their new release schedule for the second weekend of the MCU title Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 the movie stays at the top of the UK box office with a gross of just over £5 Million.

This pushes the movies total gross to nearly £25 Million which is just below the gross of the previous movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

With The Super Mario Bros. Movie remaining in second place the top new movie of the weekend is Love Again~2023 at number 3 with £340,785.

Also new this weekend is Book Club 2: The Next Chapter which makes its debut at 4 with £299,370, which is less than half the £720,858 debut of Book Club.

Outside the top 5 there is a new entry for the cinema even Eurovision Grand Final Live, the popular music content which got broadcast in cinemas for the first ever time and took £237,787 on its single day showing.

Finally The Eight Mountains was new at 12 with £72,025 and Machine Gun Kelly: Mainstream Sellout Live From Cleveland was a debut at 13 with £57,624.
