Disney's Encanto remains at the top of the global box office this weekend despite a fairly hefty drop over its debut weekend gross.

Highest new entry of the weekend is Schemes In Antiques, a Chinese action movie only released in its native country and yet beats out most of the other movies released worldwide.

A second weekend at the top for the Disney animated movie as it takes $33.4 Million from 50 countries, a 41% drop over last weekend.

This puts the movies total gross globally at $116 Million which despite the favourable reviews is low for a Disney movie.

Schemes In Antiques

Making its debut at number 2 this weekend is the Chinese action movie which is only release in it's native China at the moment.

The movie takes a very impressive $25.4 Million on its debut and could follow in the footsteps of Be Somebody and The Battle At Lake Changjin as massive Chinese hits that turn into global blockbusters.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife

The Ghostbusters sequel movie falls to number 3 this weekend with a gross of $23.4 million from 54 countries, a 29% drop over last weekend.

This gives the film a total global gross of $145 Million over 3 weeks of release.

House of Gucci

Director Ridley Scott's true story movie falls to number 4 on its second weekend of release with a $21.5 Million gross from a massive 61 countries, a 20% drop over last weekend, giving the movie a $67 Million total after 2 weeks.

Be Somebody

The Chinese movie falls to number 5 this weekend with $13.3 Million from just 1 country, a 39% drop, giving the film a total global gross of $117 Million after 4 weeks.

Disney and Marvel release the first movie from the MCU Phase 4 this weekend and despite its many delays hits the top of the global box office.

Coming in second is the Chinese movie Chinese Doctors which is also the top movie is its native terretory.

Other new movies on this weeks global box office are Realm of Terracotta at 6 with $8.17 Million and Tokyo Revengers at number 9 with $6.05 Million.

Black Widow

One of the major blockbusters to get moved around during the pandemic the start of the MCU phase 4 gets its cinematic run going with an expected number 1 debut with $158.8 Million from a massive 47 territories.

As the movie is also available on the Disney+ platform with an additional fee, which brought in nearly $100 Million more for the movie, it could be a tough box office ahead as many will choose to wait until its available without the additional fee in the coming months.

Chinese Doctors

Released in China only this dramatic tale takes the runner up spot from its single country to a fantastic $53.2 Million on its debut.

Fast & Furious 9

Falling from the number 1 position to number 3 this week is the ninth movie if The Fast Saga which takes $24.4 Million from a very wide 52 countries, its a drop of 49% over last weekend.

The movie has been on release now for 8 weeks and has taken a total of $541.8 Million, crossing the half billion mark.

The Boss Baby 2

Falling to number 4 this weekend is the animated sequel which takes $9.2 Million from 9 countries, a large 51% drop, for a $37.2 Million total after 2 weeks.

The Forever Purge

Falling to number 5 this week the 5 movie in The Purge series takes $8.4 Million from 29 countries, a 48% drop, giving the movie a $34.8 Million gross after 2 weeks of release.
