Destroy All Neighbors Review  IGN Fri, 12th January 2024

This week the animated game turned film made its debut on the North American box office charts at the top.

Disney had to finally relinquish its 4 week/2 film hold of the box office in favour of Sony's catapulting birds in search of their eggs which debuted to the tune of $39 million.

Not a bad debut and looking forward the film could do well with the summer vacation in the UK kicking in within the coming weeks.

Captain America: Civil War falls from the top after just 2 weeks but it has taken an excellent 347.3 million after a $33 million 3rd weekend gross.

Captain America is now actually the top total grossing film on the box office this weekend.

Also making debuts are: Bad Neighbours 2 (or Neighbors 2 to give it an American title) at number 3 and The Nice Guys at number 4.

The second big summer blockbuster enters American cinemas this weekend with a massive box office gross with only Captain America: The Winder Soldier doing better this year.

Godzilla managed a huge $93.2 million opening as American audiences bough the hype and spent the weekend with the big Japanese giant who is devastating San Francisco.

Last week's top film, Bad Neighbours (called Neighbors in the US) fell just a single place to 2 with a $26 million weekend gross.
