$125.6 Thousand As we roll into the middle of October we get another sequel movie trying to revive an aging franchise, this time is a sequel to the 80's movie TRON as the third movie in the series TRON Ares makes its debut at the tp of the UK box office.
The Disney movie was expected to blast into cinemas on a wave of hype, but instead it sort of whimpers in with a £1.2 Million debut, less than the previous movie in the series.
The series which apart from the 3 live action movies has a number of animated shorts created to expand the series is struggling to make a mark in cinemas despite have a large fan base.
Last weeks top movie from Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl drops from the chart completely as it was only showing for a single weekend but it did take an amazing £4,679,450 that single week!

Chinese release The Volunteers: Peace At Last tops the global box office due to an early in the week release and takes a very respectful over $51 Million at the Chinese box office on its debut.
Dominating the global box office though is Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl which tops the box office in many countries and takes $46 Million from its weekend only release to promote the launch of the superstar singers new album.
Last weeks top movie, One Battle After Another, falls to number 4 this week and has taken just over $100 Million globally, and is the only hold over movie on the top 5 this week.

Demon Slayer - Kimetsu No Yaiba - : The Movie Infinity Castle spends a second weekend at the top of the US box office with a weekend gross of $17.3 Million which is a massive 75% drop over last weekend.
This does however take the animated movies total gross to $104.7 Million after 2 weekends of release which is a nice return for a Japanese animated movie.
The previous movie Demon Slayer - Kimetsu No Yaiba - to the Hashira Training took only $15 Million after its second weekend at the North American box office.
Highest new movie of the weekend is the Jordan Peel produced movie Him~2025 which has taken $13.2 Million on its debut.

The spin off movie series from the smash hit TV series Downton Abbey, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale hits the top of the UK box office on its debut weekend with an excellent £4.4 Million debut.
The movie follows two previous big screen adaptations which took just over £5 Million for the forst movie and just over £3 Million for the follow up Downton Abbey A New Era.
The movie knocks The Conjuring: Last Rites from the top after a single week, the movie has taken £12 Million to date.
Coming in at number 2 is the animated movie Demon Slayer - Kimetsu No Yaiba - : The Movie Infinity Castle which takes £3.4 Million on its debut.
This is not only 6 times the debut gross of the previous movie in the series but os one of the top debuts for an animated movie.

The Roses, a make of The War of the Roses, starring Olivia Coleman and Benedict Cumberbatch makes its debut a the top of the Uk box office this weekend with a £2.1 Million gross.
The current period of late summer into autumn is proving a very quiet period for the box office, last weekend was the lowest total gross for the top 15 in many a month and this weekend is only slightly higer.
Coming in at number 2 is the 50th Anniversary re-release of Steven Spielbergs classic blockbuster Jaws which takes £1.1 Million over the weekend.
Weapons~2026 falls to number 3 this weekend but is still pulling in the audiences with a slender 27% drop and has taken over £10 Million after 4 weeks.
