After last weeks biggest selling debut of the year for Jurassic World and its subsequent move to the top of the UK Video chart there was no stopping it and it makes it a second week this week.

Jurassic World is not only the biggest box office hit of the year but it looks to be the biggest selling video of the year outselling the current top video Fifty Shades of Grey.

Top new entry for the week is Mr. Homes which enters the video chart at number 2 on its debut week of sale.

Starring Ian McKellen Mr. Holes was released at the UK box office on 19th June 2015 and entered the chart at number 4 that week.

The film managed a 4 week run on the official chart but also had a massive extra 11 weeks in cinemas which boosted its total gross, the film made £2.6 million over 15 weeks.

Also new this week: The 2015 remake of Poltergeist enters the chart on Halloween weekend at number 4 and little known Nicolas Cage film Pay the Ghost enters at 8.

Across the globe at the box office this week there is no move for the Dwayne Johnson starring San Andreas on it's second week at the top.

The earthquake picture this week takes $124 million in global tickets from 69 countries which brings it's global total gross to $287 million.

Moving up to second place is Spy which expands it's release across the globe. The Melissa McArthy starring film is out now in 55 countries and $55.6 million.

Highest new film of the week is at 3, Insidious Chapter 3 is released in 43 countries and takes $37 million across the world on it's debut.

San Andreas this week becomes the top grossing film across the world on it's debut weekend of release.

Released in 61 countries the film rakes in $113.2 million, far outstripping the rest of the completion, it's nearest film is last weeks top film Tomorrowland.

Tomorrowland falls to to number 2 and is keeping Mad Max Fury Road at bay which is at number 3.

Doing very well in just 1 country, Japan, is the 3D animated film Stand by Me Doraemon which takes $30 million.

Avengers Age of Ultron finished the top 5.

The Avengers sequel remains as the top film in the world this week with a world gross of $66 million from 92 countries, the world gross of the film is now $1.2 billion.

Highest new film is Tomorrowland which enters at 3 taking $59 million from 66 countries.

Also worth a note is Melissa McCarthy's new film makes it's debut at 6 with $12.5 million from 10 countries on release.

In America this weekend it was a long holiday weekend, which proved very quiet and the new Disney film Tomorrowland debuted at the top with one of the lowest grossing weekends in a while.

Tomorrowland directed by Brad Bird and starring George Clooney took the top spot with a weekend gross of $41.7 million.

Last weeks top film, Pitch Perfect 2, fell to number 2 after a single week at the top, the total gross to date is $126 million.

There was one other new film on the US chart this week in the shape of the Poltergeist remake which entered at number 5 with $26 million.
