Animated movie The Super Mario Bros. Movie stays at the top of the UK box office as its total gross goes over £35 Million.

Highest new movie of the weekend is the Nicholas Cage movie Renfield which is new at 5 while one place below is the Japanese animated smash Suzume which takes £469,100 on its debut.

At 10 we have the event movie Der Rosenkavalier: Met Opera 2023 which takes £96,665, and at 11 the event movie Cinderella: ROH London 2023 which takes £94,743 and the final new release of the weekend is One Fine Morning at 12 with £82,447.

THe animated feature video game adaptation remains at the top of the UK box office for a second weekend with a £7.5 Million gross, a 52% drop over last weekend.

Despite a large weekend on weekend drop the movies total gross is up to £35 Million which means it takes over from Avatar: The Way of Water as the top grossing movie of 2023.

Coming in at number 5, and on a weekend with little in the way of new releases is the new movie starring Nicholas Hoult and Nicholas Cage.

The movie which has not has the best of reviews from critics makes its debut with £680,661.

The film Smallfoot is starting to gain a lot of hype in the UK and the BBFC have given the film a PG rating for infrequent mild bad language.

Released on the 12th of October the film is from WAG (Warner Animation Group), the same studio who brought us The Logo Movie.

It features the vocal talents of Channing Tatum and James Cordon, is directed by Karey Kirkpatrick and Jason Reisig and has a running time of 96 minutes.

Sam Raimi gives us a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, Jason Statham is in full action form again and Barbara Streisand mothers Seth Rogan at the box office this weekend.

In Oz The Great and Powerful Sam Raimi directs James Franco and Mila Kunis in a origins story for 1939's The Wizard of Oz.

Parker, based on the 9th book in the Flashfire series, has Jason Statham joined by Jennifer Lopez in this crime drama.

The guilt Trip has Barbara Streisand being the overbearing mother to Seth Rogan in this light hearted comedy.
