There have been many adaptations of the Sherlock Holmes character, but I suspect not many like this.
Starring Will Farrell and John C. Reilly this is a slapstick version of the famous British detective.
Released on 26th December 2018 the film has been given a 12A rating by the BBFC for moderate sex references, drug references, infrequent strong language and it has a run time of 90 minutes (1hour 30 minutes).

Finishing off this week we have the first trailer for new comedy Holmes And Watson starring buddies Will Farrell and John C. Reilly.
The very British crime fighting duo and in fine comedic form in the film and it looks like Farrell and Reilly pull of the Britishness with ease.
Expect lots of slap stick comedy in this silly looking but funny turn, it will keep you Holmies happy until the new Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr. comes around.
The film is due for release on Boxing day of 2018 and you can check out the first trailer below.

After a 5 week run at the top of the US box office Back panther this week gets knocked down to number 2 with the new entry of pacific Rim Uprising.
It was a relatively low debut for the Pacific Rim sequel as it takes $28 million, compared to the original its well down as that film took $37 million on its debut.
Despite falling to number 2 Black Panther still manager a $16 million 6th weekend which brings the films total US gross to $630 million.
I Can Only Imagine stays at number 3 this weekend while new at number 4 is the animated sequel Sherlock Gnomes which takes $10 million.
Finally Tomb Raider falls to number 5 this week on its second weekend of release with a gross of $10 million bringing the films total to $41 million.
Directed by Guy Ritchie King Arthur Legend of the Sword makes its UK debut at the top of the box office, but its an unconvincing start to its box office run.
Taking £2.5 million from the weekend the film which had a massive budget and is set to start a new series of films was expected to smash its way into the box office for studio Warner Bros.
For the director this is below the debut of his top grossing films the Sherlock Holmes movies starring Robert Downey Jnr. which both debuted in the £3 million mark.
Falling into second place is Alien: Covenant which only just missed out on spending a second week at the top with a weekend gross of £2.1 million.
This brings the films total gross to £10 million, Prometheus at this point in its run was doing very similar business so expect this to end its run with a similar £20 million+.
Also new this week is Snatched starring Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn at number 4 with a debut of £842,000 and Colossal starring Anne Hathaway at number 9 with £150,000.
