The final movie in the popular Venom series of movies, Venom The Last Dance has been given a 15 age rating in the UK for strong violence, language.

The movie stars once again Tom Hardy who has starred previously in Scenes of a Sexual Nature and Black Hawk Down as well as the previous 2 Venom movies, the movie also stars Juno Temple who has previously been seen in Wild Child and Killer Joe.

The movie this time around is directed by Kelly Marcel who is making a directorial debut but is know as a writer for television with credits to her name like UK TV shows The Bill and Holby City.

Also inside the top 5 is the animated feature The Bobs Burgers Movie which is new at number 3 while the Indian sequel movie F3 Fun and Frustration is new at 10 with a debut of just over a $1 Million.

Top Gun Maverick

Veteran actor Tom Cruise made came to the attention of most people in the 1986 movie Top Gun and despite a number of attempts to bring a sequel to the big screen it has taken 36 years to make it.

The movie opens over memorial weekend which is often considered the start of the summer season for movies and takes an incredible $124 Million on its debut.

This is not only the top grossing movie over the holiday weekend but incredibly the top debut for Tom Cruise.

The movie has instantly become the 6th top movie in North America for 2022 but will most likely finish at least top 3.

Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness

The MCU movie from Disney has been around now for 4 weeks and gets push from the top after a successful 3 week run where it grossed an amazing $370 Million at the US box office.

This weekend the Sam Raimi directed movie take $16.4 Million, a 49% drop over last weekend, it does take over from The Batman as the top movie of 2022.

The Bobs Burgers Movie

Like The Simpsons before them, Bob's Burgers makes the leap from television to the big screen and lands at number 3 this weekend.

The movie take a respectable $12.6 Million over the memorial day holiday, and with good reviews and school holidays on the horizon, like The Bad Guys this could hang around for a while.

Downton Abbey: A New Era

The sequel movie based on the British Aristocracy falls to number 4 on its second weekend of release with $5.9 Million, a big 63% drop over last weekend, giving the movie a $28.4 Million total.

It makes the movie instantly the 10th top movie of 2022 worldwide.

Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness

After 3 weeks at the top of the global box office the MCU movie falls to number 2 with a gross of $39.3 Million, a 45% drop from 50 countries.

The movie has takes a total of $868.6 Million after 4 weeks of release.

The Roundup

The Korean movie is released in 5 countries and this week falls to number 3 after making its debut at 2 last week with $39.3 Million over this weekend.

This is a 26% drop and gives the movie a total of $23,5 Million over its 2 weeks of release.

The Bob's Burgers Movie

Like the The Simpsons did in 2007 the television animated show Bob's Burgers makes its big screen debut this weekend at number 4 with a weekend gross of $13.3 Million from 9 countries.

The Bad Guys

The animated hit movie falls to number 5 this weekend after 11 weeks on the global box office it takes $10.4 Million from 71 countries.

An 18% drop gives the movie a global total of $197.5 Million.

Bad Boys For Life spends another weekend at the top of the US box office while a new horror spin on the Grimm fairytale Hansel and Gretel gets the highest debut at number 4.

Highest new film of the weekend is the new take on the ever popular 60's television series that also had a couple of live action movies in the early 90's.

The spooky, kookie family landed at number 2 with a weekend take of $30.2 Million on its debit.

Gemini Man

Directed by Ang Lee this new action films stars Will Smith in a dual role as an older and younger self, the film didn't sit well with critics which could be why it lands at 3 this week with $20.5 Million.

Abominable

The animated tale from Dreamworks falls to 4 this week with $6.1 Million for a $47.9 Million after 3 weeks of release.
