The UK is still Ga Ga for La La Land and on its second weekend of release the film manages to keep hold of the number 1 spot holding off new film Split.
A fantastic second weekend gross of £4.3 million is enough to keep the film at the top which brings the films total gross to a very good £14.9 million.
Making its debut in the UK is Split which enters the UK at number 2 with a weekend gross of £2.5 million.
Its been a while since director M. Night Shyamalan had a big hit at the box office and it looks like he may have one here.
Favourable reviews will keep the film bringing in cinema goers and despite the fact that the film missed the top it will still do well.
Also new this week is xXx The Return of Xander Cage at number 3 with £1.6 million and Lion which makes its debut at number 4 with £1.2 million.
Longest running film this week is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which has now been on the box office for 10 weeks and the highest grossing film is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story which is now on £64.3 million.

A year ago - The Revenant stayed at the top for a second weekend while Ride Along 2 made its debut at number 2.
Five years ago - War Horse remained at the top of the UK box office while Haywire was the top new film at number 2.
Ten years ago - Rocky Balboa was the top new film which debuted at number 1 while The Pursuit of Happyness dropped to number 2.
Fifteen years ago - The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring spent its 5th week at the top of the box office, it held off Black Hawk Down which debuted at 2.
Twenty years ago - 101 Dalmatians stayed at the top again while The Ghost and The Darkness was the top new film at 2.
Twenty five years ago - Freddys Dead The Final Nightmare debuted at the top while Bill and Teds Bogus Journey fell to 2 after 2 weeks at the top.
This weekend Jack Reacher gave it a good go but in the end her was not good enough to stop the Trolls from hitting the top on its debut weekend.
The new IP from Dreamworks hits the top with a weekend gross of £5.4 million which is about average for an animation from the studio, Kung Fu Panda 3, the last film from them took £4.7 million on its opening.
If things go as usual Trolls could get somewhere in the £10 million mark especially with a fairly decent debut.
The Girl on The Train falls from the top this week after a couple of weekends at the top, a £2 million weekend takes the film to £17.7 million after 3 weeks of release.
Also new this week is Jack Reacher Never Go Back which lans in the runner up spot with £2.6 million, this is in the ballpark, but lower, of the first film with took £3.5 million on its debut.
Longest running film of the week is The BFG which has been around now for 13 weeks and the highest total grossing movie is Bridget Jones's Baby now on £44.5 million.

Five years ago - Halloween took Paranormal Activity 3 to the top of the box office on its debut while Johnny English Reborn fell to number 2 after 3 weeks.
Ten years ago - The Departed stayed at the top for a second week while highest debuting film was Barnyard at number 3.
Fifteen years ago - American Pie 2 stayed at the top while America's Sweethearts made its debut at number 2.
Twenty years ago - New at the top was the fantasy film Dragonheart while The Nutty Professor fell into the runner up spot after 2 weeks at the top.
Twenty five years ago - Making its debut at the top was City Slickers while Drop Dead Fred fell to number 3.
On the UK video chart this week Spectre manages to hold on to the top spot for a second week while war time drama Suffragette is the highest new film.
After a fantastic showing on the video chart last week there was no move for the latest Bond movie this week with sales too strong for any of the new releases.
Suffragette was the highest new film at 2, the film was released into UK cinemas on 16th October 2016 where it has a debut week at number 2.
The film put in 6 weeks inside the top 15 films in the UK before hanging around the box office for another 12 weeks and was still in some cinemas last weekend.
The film didn't bust any balls at the box office but did manage to rake in a fairly good £9.9 million over its run.
Also new on the video chart this week is: Brooklyn entering at number 3, The Intern new at number 8 and finally Paranormal Activity The Ghost Dimension at number 9.
