The top 15 movies in the UK this week failed to take over £100,000 as much of the UK is experiencing new lockdowns and many cinemas will have been closed on Friday, Christmas Day.
Wonder Woman 1984 retained its position at the top of the box office with ease and is responsible for 77% of this weeks box office total takings and as there were no new releases we have a fairly static top 5.
Worthy of note this week is that the number 15 movie, Michael Ball & Alfie Boe: Back Together, only took £548 and the movie with the lowest weekly from was Peter Duncan Presents Jack And The Beanstalk which dropped 60% from last weekend.

After its vaguely successful debut last weekend the Wonder Woman sequel once again directed by Patty Jenkins stays at the top of the UK box office but with a 91% drop from last weekend giving it weekend gross of £72,674.
The movie starring Gal Gadot as the superhero has now taken £1.3 Million at the UK box office.
With Elf taking a tumble down the box office to number 6 the Christmas favourite from 1990 jumps up to number 2 this week with £3,840, a 93% drop from last week.
Since the movie came out in December 1990, 30 years ago, it has grossed £9.7 Million.
Entering the chart at 4 on its debut last weekend the Brenda Chapman fantasy drama jumps to number 3 this week with £3,245, 92% down from last week, for a total gross of £77,362.
Three years after Hugh Jackmans song and dance spectacular surprised the box office the 2017 movie gets another release and re-enters the box office at 4 this week with £3,231 giving the film total gross a boost to £49.6 Million.
Ben Falcone directs his wife Mellisa McCarthy in this comedy which jumps to number 5 this week with £2,254, 88% down from last weekend, giving the films a total gross of £142,455 after 3 weeks.
In the UK cinemas have started to re-open, they are not back to full capacity but they are letting people in a taking money, so what is happeneing on the first weekend back?
Things are actually re-starting right where they left off and Onward is the top film in the county, again, but there are no new releases and a bunch of 'classic' film on the chart.

The buddy cop movie starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence is at 3 this week with £16K and a total of £16 Million after 10 weeks on the chart.
The first 'classic' movie on the box office is at 4 this week with the Hugh Jackman 2017 smash hit which made the top of the chart in early 2018.
The movie takes £15K over the weekend and has taken £49 Million after 22 weeks on the chart.
The years top grossing film is at number 5 this week with £12.7K putting the films total gross to £43.7 Million after 2 weeks on the chart.
A very slow week on the home entertainment charts this week with films flip-flopping wound like they done know what to do, Bad Boys For Life goes back to the top and A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood is the top new film.

At the start of the weekend the big money would have been on Terminator: Dark Fate to top the UK box office this weekend but the new franchise film actually came nowhere near Joker which easily keeps the top spot for a fourth straight week.
The Todd Philips directed movie has done far better at the box office than studio Warner Bros. could ever have expected and this week spends its fourth weekend at the top as its weekend grosses show no sign of slowing too much as it takes £3.5 Million over the weekend.

All hopes are on this movie to save the Terminator franchise since the disastrous box office performance of Terminator Genisys.
