Disney have had some big hits in recent years and the live action version of The Jungle Book is one of them and has become a children's favourite.

The film was released into cinemas on 15th April 2016 and went directly to the top of the box office where it spent 2 weeks.

It then went on to spend a total of 14 weeks on the official top 15 and then, so far, another 5 weeks still in UK cinemas, the film is still on release currently.

The Jungle Books total gross in the UK, so far, is an amazing £46.1 million, it is the second highest grossing film of the year and the 33rd top film ever in the UK.

The film also did very well across the globe where it has grossed $947.6 million and is the 34th highest grossing film ever, it is still on release in many countries.

The Huntsman: Winters War which entered the chart at the top last week falls to number 2 on its second week of release.

Also landing on the video chart this week is: Jane Got a Gun at number 9 and The Colony at number 13.

Released this week is Rachet and Clank and Gods Not Dead 2 which should have an impact on the chart next week.

With a fantastic debut last week The Jungle Book was always going to hold on to the box office in America this week, and with weak competition it did it with ease.

A second weekend gross of $60.8 million means the film only dropped 41% and it takes the total gross after 10 days of release to $191 million.

Highest new film of the week is The Huntsman: Winters War, a soft release takes $20 million on its debut.

Highest total grossing movie on the US box office this week is Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice who's gross this week climbs to $319 million.

Disney and Jon Favreau live action version of the classic Rudyard Kipling book makes in incredible showing at the box office this week.

Making it debut at the top with a £9.9 million weekend the film has become the 63rd highest opening weekend in the UK ever, in 2016 Batman V Superman and Deadpool opened higher.

With such a strong opening the film is sure to follow in the footsteps of Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland and be a massive live action film for Disney.

Falling from the top in dramatic style this week is The Huntsman: Winters War which drops to, a second weekend of £0.6 million brings the total to £4.4 million.

Highest total grossing movie on the box office this week is former number 1 film Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice which has now grossed £35.3 million after 4 weeks of play.
