UK Box Office Weekend Report 21st - 23rd July 2023: Barbie makes its UK debut with an £18 Million plus debut, Oppenheimer debuts with £10 Million Making its debut at the top of the UK box office this weekend with a debut of £18.5 Million is the Greta Gerwig directed movie Barbie.
The movie is the 4th top debuting movie in the month of July and is the 8th top grossing movie so far in 2023.
The second part of the Barbenhiemer weekend, Oppenheimer makes its debut in the runner up spot with a fantastic £10.8 Million.

The new MCU movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, hits the top of the global box office on its opening weekend of release as it hits 53 countries.
Animated hit movie The Super Mario Bros. Movie falls from the top into the runner up spot on its 4th weekend of release with the movies total gross now up to $1.15 Billion.
Chinese movie Godspeed stays at 3 as does Evil Dead Rise while Born to Fly drops to number 5.

As the blockbuster movies continue to get a box office release this weekend we have a rare non sequel movie as Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves makes its debut at the top.
After a single week at number 1 John Wick: Chapter 4 falls into the runner up spot with a large 62% drop over last weekend as the movies total goes to $122 Million.
Just in time for the Easter period religious movie His Only Son makes its debut at number 4 with a very reasonable gross of $5.3 Million on ites debut.
At number 7 there a new entry for A Thousand and One from director A.V. Rockwell who is making a directorial debut, the movie takes $1.8 Million over the weekend.
Avatar: The Way of Water and Puss In Boots: The Last Wish are at number 11 and number 10 respectively as they start the end of their journey on the box office, the Avatar sequel has taken $681.7 Million in total and the Puss in Boots sequel has taken $184 Million.

Another new number 1 this weekend with the release of Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves at the box office which takes a very resonable £3.5 Million.
Also new this weekend is animated movie Mummies which is given a well times release over the UK school holidays while Dasara is new at 11 with £108,625 and Life of Pi: NT Live 2023 is new at 12 with £89,514.
Finally there is the new Florence Pugh movie God's Creatures which is new at 14 with £69,284 and Falstaff: Met Opera 2023 at 15 with £68,655.

Falling into the runner up spot after its debut at the top is the fourth chapter in the John Wick series which drops 51% this weekend.
The well times release of this new animated tale during the Easter Holidays gives it a new entry at number 3 with a gross of over half a million pound.
The disappointing release of the DC Universe latest movie gives it a hefty 57% drop on its 3rd weekend as its gross jump to just £4.8 Million.
Still going strong is the third movie in the Creed series which has taken £13.5 Million after 5 weeks of release.
The latest in the long running Scream~1997 series makes its debut at the top of the global box office this weekend with an opening of over $67 Million.
ALso new this weekend is the dinosaur movie 65 and the Chinese only release Post Truth while the American comedy Champions lands at number 10 with $6 Million.

The third movie in the Creed series falls to the runner up spot on its second weekend of release dropping 49% from its debut gross.
Making its debut at number 3 is the Adam Driver starring movie about dinosaurs and science fiction which takes $20 Million on its first weekend.
The Chinese only release is a new entry at number 4 this week with a gross of $40 Million, not bad for a movie released in a single country.
The latest MCU movie falls to number 5 this weekend as it takes a total gross of $447 Million after 4 weeks of release.
