At the UK box office this weekend, Friday, 4th September 2020, there are 4 new releases looking to take your attention at the local multiplex and knock Tenet from the top of the UK box office.

The New Mutants

• The movie is directed by Josh Boone
• Josh Boone also directed The Fault In Our Stars in 2014 which grossed £11 Million in the UK and grossed $307.2 Million globally.
• It stars Maisie Williams who last starred in The Owners (2020).
• The film also stars Anya Taylor-Joy who last appeared in Radioactive (2020).

Les Miserables

• This new release stars Damien Bonnard who's last film was The Wolf's Call (2019)
• It also stars Alexis Manenti who appeared in The World Is Yours (2019).
• The film is brought to us by new director Ladj Ly.

Mulan

• The movie is directed by Niki Caro who directed The Zookeepers Wife in 2017.
• It stars Jet Li and Donnie Yen who were last seen together in The Founding Of A Republicwhich grossed £0.

Dream Horse

• Also this week there is Dream Horse from director Euros Lyn who also directed Damilola Our Loved Boy in 2016.
• The film features Toni Collette and Damian Lewis in starring roles.

This week animated feature The Boss Baby takes a command over the box office and removes Beaty and The Beast from the top.

Making its debut this week Dreamworks new franchise film The Boss Baby which grosses $50 million on its debut.

The animations studio last release Home had an impressive run and debuted just a shade higher, if The Boss Baby can do similar numbers then were looking at close to $200 million US gross.

It was a close run race but Beaty and The Beast falls to number 2 with $47.5 million, the films total US gross is now $395 million after 3 weeks of release.

Ghost in The Shell makes its debut at number 3 this week with $19 million and much further down the box office is The Zookeepers Wife at number 10 with a debut of $3.3 million.

Highest total grossing movie on the US box office is Beaty and The Beast while the longest running film is Get Out, 6 weeks of release and this week is at number 7.
