$0All change for another weekend at the US box office as M. Night Shyamalan new film Glass takes over with one of the directors best openings.
Despite being a celebrated director M. Night Shyamalan hasn't had the easiest of times with his movies, but last year he hit the big time again with Split and now he hits the top with a sequel or sorts.
The film makes its debut at number 1 knocking The Upside off with $40.5 million, which is a touch above Split's debut.
Falling to number 2 this week after a single week at the top the comedy drama takes $15.6 million to boost its total to $43.9 million after 2 weekends.
Still riding high this week is the DC Universe movie which has turned into the biggest grossing movie from the comic book series.
The film takes $10.3 million this week which pushes its US total past the $300 million mark to $304.3 million.
The smash hit animation goes wider this week and goes to number 4 with a $8.7 million weekend which brings its total US gross to $19.5 million.
The Animated film from Sony continues its incredible run on the box office sitting at number 5 this week with $7.25 million which brings its total US gross to $158.2 million.
No surprise really that Jurassic World is still the top film across the world considering the massif start to it's box office run it had.
This week the film takes another $136.7 million dollars from 67 countries to bring its world gross to $1.2 Billion, the fastest film to do this.
With Japan still to get the film Jurassic World will easily become the third highest grossing movie of all time, and on this trajectory it could challenge Titanic as the second highest grossing, although it has got a bot to go.
Pixar are sticking solid in second place where Inside Out remains for another week, a $78.5 million dollar weekend, from 43 countries, brings it's world gross to $266.4 on its second weekend of release.
With most of Europe still to see a release of the film it still has some dollars to rake in giving it the potential to be one of the most successful animations of all time, although it wont touch Frozen, the biggest or Toy Story 3 which both made over a billion.
Highest new film of the week with a release in 27 countries of the sequel movie Ted 2, taking a non too shabby $53.2 million on it;s debut weekend.

This week is a big week in the gaming world, the annual E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) conference is taking place in LA, a conference when all the big players in the gaming industry boast about their year and give loose forecasts of new games coming to their platforms for the following year.
The Expo is also a platform for new hardware, and although 2 of the big players, Microsoft and Sony, only had hardware to show off in the form of additions to existing hardware or revamped current hardware, industry leader Nintendo had a small ace up it's sleeve.
Nintendo by far has and does rule the hand held market and this year they are releasing a sequel to their best selling Nintendo DS handheld gaming console. The new twist on the console it that it has a 3 inch 3D top screen as well as the small bottom touch screen, and adding another twist the 3D screen does not require glasses.
All's well so far, all game news so far, what makes this even more interesting is that Nintendo has signed a deal with the likes of Warner Bros. and Disney to release movies in 3D on the device, not that raises the game even more.
On display in LA at the expo in form of a demonstration of this is Dreamworks How to Train Your Dragon, a recent 3D animated film, and although the 3D effect takes a little getting used to it works, but only for depth, which as James Cameron, director of Avatar, says is a large part of 3D, it's not all about things flying out of the screen at you.
This is exciting news, one which I expect will be used mainly by kinds, hence the studios involved and the kinds of films they are releasing. If proved successful this could pave the way for greater things, another example of the games industry leading the way of the films industry.
It's still only January and possible the most hyped device of the year has made it's debut today (Wednesday 27th January) as Apple CEO Steve Jobs announces the release of the iPad, an oversized iPod touch, the device can play HD (720p) video.
The new iPad is running a version of the software that runs the iPhone (which also powers the iPod touch) which means this new device isn't a traditional computer and is unable to do multi-tasking or run OSX applications, but it does have a media player which when coupled with the iTunes store you can buy and rent movies that can be watched anywhere you take it, like on holiday or in the car or on a plane.
The device is very light and thin and has a 9.7 inch screen, so unlike the small 3 inch screen on the iPhone/iPod Touch watching films, or any other task the device is capable of, should be much less strain on your various body parts.
There are two other things which have sold this device for me, one is a fantastic looking case that when the lid is flipped over becomes a stand, so if you are sitting on a chair you can just pop the thing on a table and you have a stand and hey presto comfort (see picture for illustration). Next is the price, although no UK or European price has been announced the US price for the low end model of 16GB is $499, so maybe about £400 - £500 in real money, that's a bargain.
No release date for UK yet but US has 60 - 90 days to wait, so maybe get that pal in America to send one over for you.

CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2010 is kicking off in Las Vegas tomorrow with the Microsoft CEO (Steve Balmer at the moment) being the traditional first Keynote speaker at 6.30pm (PST) on 6th January.
The show always gives a good showcase as what we can expect in the future of technology from the likes of Sony, Samsung, LG, Panasonic and other manufacturers of home entertainment equipment with TV's and film media always having a good showing.
This year Blu-ray and high definition is expected to have a show as the format goes from strength to strength in sales and knocks on the door of DVD in a similar fashion to DBD to VHS 10 years ago.
TV's are on the dawn of a new technology going mainstream, althoug hseen last year OLED is expected to make a bog splash this year. OLED screens are very think and light and give better definition pictures to that of either LCD or plasma, the prices are falling and sizes coming up, expect many TV's PC monitors and other screen devices to be announced.
3D movies made a big impact in cinemas is 2009, and with Avatar doing so well at the box office at the moment studios are keen to push the idea into the home and it's thought that there will be a big display of 3D home movies and TV on display although the technology is new. 3D does have it's doubters who think it's a gimmick and will not catch on.
Also set to make a big impact at CES is tablet PC's, it is widely thought that Apple are on the verge of a big tablet announcement, although we will most likely have to wait until the end of January for that, but there are others who want to enter this market. Tablet PC's could mark a change to the way people view movies on the go, and with Windows 7 touch technology being so good, and probably the excellent iPhone OS being on any Apple device which will allow apps to run on it we could be at the dawn of something big for mobile movies, and in HD of course. Whatever the show has to offer it's always interesting to see what we may have in our homes in the coming years, and what new development in the pipeline, you can follow some of the best coverage, like me, at these site.
