Thanks to Wednesday and Thursday preview screenings, the web-slinger has already scooped up an astonishing £5.82 million.

That jaw-dropping figure locks it in as the second-highest pre-screening take in UK cinema history. The ultimate box office crown is still safely held by Avengers: Endgame, which brought in a massive £11.9 million during its 2019 debut.

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey easily held onto the top spot across the globe for its sophomore weekend. The top new film of the frame, the live-capture film Hadestown: The Musical, arrived at number 9 with an impressive $10.2 million, breaking historical records for Broadway stage captures.
