Based on the fan favourite character Buzz Lightyear the movie is being billed as the definitive story of the character which was voiced by Tim Allen on the 4 movies.
Stepping up this time os Chris Evans who will voice the fames Space Ranger as his younger self.
Its an interesting concept to bring up an origins story based on a character which is a living toy, toys don't age!
All the toy story films, including the fourth one, where excellent and there is no doubt that if anyone can pull this off its Pixar.
Release date, in the US at least, is 22 June 2022, all being well with the world by then.
The Lion King returns to the top of the UK box office this week after letting go of it for Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs And Shaw while the top new film comes it at number 4 with Blinded By The Light.
Disneys remake of their 1994 hit animation has proved to be a massive hit in the same way the remake of Beauty And The Beast was back in 2017.
This week the film goes back to the top of the UK box office with an excellent £4.3 Million gross, incredible for a film which has been on general release for 4 weeks.
In comparison Beauty And The Beast had a big fall in its fourth week and took about a third of the previous weeks taking, here the film drop about a third from the previous weekend.
The films total is also higher and to date it has taken £59 Million and is the second highest grossing film of the year behind Avengers: Endgame.
The Fast & Furious franchise move drops into second place on its 2nd weekend of release with £2.9 Million for a £12.8 Million total gross.
Another massive hit for Pixar with Woody and the gang taking £1.6 Million on its 8th weekend for a £58.7 Million Uk total.
Coming in at number 4 this weekend, and the highest new film, is the latest from acclaimed director Gurinder Chadha who brought us classics British films such as Bend It Like Beckham and Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging.
Not her best debut to date, but she'e contending with the Disney big hitters, but a debut of just shy of a Million is not bad for the Bruce Springsteen inspired movie.
Still hanging onto a top 5 place the Sony Spider-Man movie takes £700K on its 6th weekend of release pushing its total to £35.5 Million.
Maybe cashing in on the succes of the recent LEGO movies this animated version of the popular toys hots the chart at number 7 with just less than £400K.
Disneys other live action remake on the chart this week sits at number 15 after 12 weeks on the box office and a total UK gross of £36.5 Million.
The Pixar movie Toy Story 4 has been age rated by the BBFC and given a U certificate for very mild violence, scary scenes.
The fourth film in the Toy Story saga has all your favourite characters back for more adventures, this time it looks like its set in a travelling amusement park and Woody seems to get lost with the rest of the toys of Buzz Lightyear, Rex and Mr Potato Head et el searching for him.
The original three films are considered one of the greatest film trilogies of all time sitting alongside the likes of the original Star Wars trilogy and The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.
Hence there are high hopes for the new movie and judging by the trailers Pixar wont be disappointing us.
The BBFC have given the film a U age rating for very mild violence, scary scenes and it has an official run time of 100 minutes (1 hour 40 minutes).

It's the end of the year, and which of the many films released this year was the highest grossing movie for 2010, well it was the return of our favourite toys in Disney/Pixars Toy Story 3.
Woody and friends grossed an incredible £73,405,113 during its 13 week run in the chart from late July until mid-October.
Second this year is a film released late in 2009, Avatar which this year alone £ 60,374,665, but the film also had a good gross last year and is currently the top grossing film ever in the UK.
Third on the list is the latest Harry Potter film, lower than the other films in the series but still grossing £ 44,443,734 so far, this film still has good legs though and we could see an appearance next year as well.
Finally we have Alice in Wonderland with £ 42,169,542 and Inception, which took £ 35,264,403.
Honourable mention must go to Harry Potter and Inception which managed to take decent grosses in the UK with lower ticket prices due to them not being in 3D, it's no surprise that in the top 10 films of 2010 half of them are in 3D and have the surplus on the ticket price.
