The latest in the long running Fast and Furious series enters at the top of the video chart this week on its debut week of release on home video.

Fast and Furious 7 was released at the UK box office on 3rd April 2015, a delay in its release due to the untimely death of its star Paul Walker.

The film entered the box office at the top with an opening weekend of £12.7 million, the highest of the series.

A 3 week spell at the top gave it a total chart run of 8 weeks and netted it £38 million at the UK box office, it is currently the 45th highest grossing film ever in the UK and the fourth highest of 2015.

The film did phenomenal business across the world as well and is currently the 4th highest grossing film of all time with a global gross of $1.5 billion.

Cinderella falls from the top into second place on its 3rd week of release.

Also new this week is Unfriended at 4, John travolta in The Forger which enters at 6 and A Royal Night Out which is new at 7.

With it's global gross now reaching over a billion dollars across the globe Fast and Furious 7 makes it a third week as the top film.

A world gross of $196.9 million from 68 territories ensures is placing for most likely one more week as the first of the big summer blockbusters hits much of the globe next week.

Paul Blart Mall Cop is the highest new film coming in at 2 with $31.1 million from 42 countries, not a big it in many place but with little else on release to challenge this has ensured the numbers.

With Home at 3 another new film is Unfriended at 4 with $16 million from just the single location, North America, Cinderella completes the top 5.

Fast and Furious 7 spends it's third and most likely last week at the top of the US box office this week, the same week if saw it;s global box office go over $1 billion.

The film has been a massive global hit as well as US his and has now taken $294 million after a quite remarkable $29 million third weekend.

Highest new film of the week is Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 which is actually not that far behind Furious 7 with its $24 million weekend, the film struggles in the UK last week.

Other new film to hit the US box office this week are: Unfriended at number 3, Disneys earth day release Monkey Kingdom at number 7 and True Story at number 11.
