The Justin Lin directed ninth instalment of The Fast Saga stays at the top of the Uk box office for a second weekend with £2.6 Million, a 55% drop from last week.
The movie is on its second weekend of release and has a UK gross of £10.8 Million.
Compared to the previous movie in the franchise, Fast & Furious 8, its less than half the total gross, but of course in the current box office climate it is an unfair comparison.
The runaway smash of the summer, the Peter Rabbit sequel movie remains at number 2 for the 6th weekend and this week takes £,830,560, which is basically the same as last weekend.
The movie has been a massive smash hit in the UK, no doubt fuelled by fan favourite James Cordon as the voice of Peter, and has taken £17.4 Million in the UK.
This is by far the top grossing movie of 2021 which didn't start until 7 weeks ago, it will be interesting to see if it can keep its lead with Fast & Furious 9 doing so well and the new MCU movie Black Widow out this coming week.
The Jon M. Chu directed movie is proving to be a big hit in the UK and this weekend takes £466,156, only 32% down on last weekend, giving it a total UK gross of £3.3 Million.
The Emily Blunt starring horror movie sequel takes £425,798 this weekend, 29% down, for a total gross of £10.3 Million.
Interestingly the movie is actually running parallel with its predecessor and could potentially beat its total UK gross.
This has been a surprise hit for Disney and this weekend spends a 6th weekend inside the top 5 with £410,789, a very slim 11% drop from last weekend.
The movies total Uk gros is now at £8.4 Million after its 6 weeks of release.
