Highest new movie of the weekend is the Indian movie Vikram which makes its debut at 7 with $1.7 Million, also new this weekend is David Cronenberg new movie Crimes of the Future with $1.1 Million while Watcher is new at number 11 with $815,000.
After a massive opening weekend the Top Gun sequel was going to stay at the top of the US box office for a second weekend, and it does it in style dropping only 32% from last weekend for a weekend gross of $86 Million.
The movie is proving to be a megga success for Paramount studios, which will make them wonder why they waited 36 years to pruduce a sequel, but perhaps thats why its proving to be a hit, the movie has been getting phenomenal reviews and great word of mouth as not being a formulaic summer blockbuster.
The total gross for the movie is now $291.6 Million after 10 days in cinemas which makes it the 3rd top movie of 2022.
The MCU sequel movie remains at number 2 this weekend with $9.2 Million on its 5th weekend of release, a 42% drop over last weekend.
This pushes the movies total US gross to $388.7 Million making it the top grossing movie of 2022 so far and the top grossing movie on this weekends box office chart.
The animated movie remains at number 3 this weekend with $4.5 Million, a large drop of 65% over its debut weekend last week.
The movie has now taken a US total of $22,2 Million, and with the American school holidays about to start this could be a top 5 mainstay for a few weeks to come.
The animated smash hit movie climbs back up to 4 this weekend with a gross of $3.3 Million, a small 24% drop over last week giving the movie a total of $87.2 Million after 7 weeks of release.
Dropping to number 5 is the British high class movie which takes $3 Million on its 3rd weekend of release, a 48% drop, giving the movie a total US gross of $35.7 Million.

Hot off the heels of his previous smash hit Tom Holland proves he's one of the most bankable stars in the world as the video game adaption from director Ruben Fleischer hits the top of the UK box office.
Also along for the ride is Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas, and with this star power no wonder the movie makes its debut with £4.7 Million.
The movie also instantly becomes the 5th top grossing movie of 2022.
Three weeks on and the animated sequel takes an amazing £3.2 Million, a small 38% drop over last weekend.
This gives the movie a total UK gross of £16.7 Million and makes it the second top movie of 2022 behind Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Because of the delay in the release of this movie director Kenneth Branagh has 2 movies on the box office this week, he also stars in this movie which is a remake and adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel of the same name.
Landing at number 3 on this weekend box office the movie takes £1.8 Million on its debut.
The Oscar nominated movie from director Kenneth Branagh falls to number 4 this weekend with £1.05 Million, a modest 29% drop over last weekend.
The movie has now taken £11.2 Million on the UK box office and is the 3rd top movie of 2022 so far.
Falling to number 5 this weekend after its debut at number 2 is the Jackass boys and their death defying stunts as the movie takes £997,197, a 52% drop, giving the film a £4 Million total.

Batman is part of the DC superhero comic universe but the movie is separate from the main DC movie Universe which has movies like Justice League and Wonder Woman.
This is an origins movie and at the moment is set to be the first part in a new Batman movie series.
Robert Pattinson takes over the role of the protagonist Batman after Ben Affleck dropped out, so there is a chance we could see him appear in other DC movie universe titles in the future.
Also starring Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell and Zoe Kravitz the movie is set for release in 4th March 2022 after having a few delays due to COVID-19.
